I really admire the differences between all of claire's writing, this song is so soft and conveys so much emotion, wanting to be heard emotionally when one instead reaches for physical intimacy instead. They're not substitutes for eachother, they're two apart

Well, there is the existence of sexual intimacy, which basically combines emotional and physical intimacy. With that said, the problem at stake is that the perpetrator was moving too fast, had absolutely no regard for Clairo's feelings, and took advantage of her vulnerability, so what could've evolved turned into a nightmare.

i love seeing artists be versatile. i know clairo started off with bedroom pop which could be very chill and almost amateur sounding?
