$8000 is what I paid for my first truck. I spent quite a bit in that first year fixing it up, but it was money the truck was earning, not cash out of my pocket. Don’t be afraid, get moving!

So I’m thinking of starting a tow business, and I’m just curious if you could tell me what your yearly income average is?
I’ve done some research and I see really low numbers and some numbers that seem like a multi-truck service.
I’m not trying to get rich, just live comfortably.

Oh wow I'm so glad I clicked on your video! I am trying to start a small business too! I am an HVAC technician now even though I am new to the trade, my father has been doing technician work for almost 50 years. I also work with a military veterian who's a master plumber for almost 10years. Sadly we never had the time or funding to start anywhere. I have learned a great deal of technician work from them through out my life and after going to almost 3 HVAC jobs, I finally decided to go out on my own helping people and businesses out with there systems making recommendations only when needed! I heard you are in Middletown NY that's cool! I am local as well! I started my business with my little brother, my father, and our family friend. Every call I get I take my little brother to watch me and learn and if I can't figure out the problem I could always call my dad or my friend. Some people are kind and understanding so why take advantage of them and that's why my prices are fair compared to all the major companies out there (some of which I used to work for). Anyway great video and I appreciate the information I will definitely look into it to hopefully try and start my own business and pass it on! 👍 Thank you!

3k weekly is not a lot. A general rule of thumb is, You want you each light duty truck to generate 1k a day. A lot of times these accounts are non contractual and when a new face appears, the account goes elsewhere . Accounts that are under a contract, might also have a clause that the contract is non transferable. Florida tow truck insurance is really high so expect to be paying at least 10k a year. A hino wit 380k miles, expect to have problems. Has this person shown you actual numbers and bank statements? How many call is he running to do 3k a week?
