I wasn't born when Mj used to play.
My father collected his tapes, and while I was growing up, he used to show it to me and brag about what a privilege it was to see him play.
The only reason I started playing basketball, that I started watching Basketball, That I fell in love with basketball,
Was Michael Jeffrey Jordan.
That’s why the goat debate exists, not enough dads educating their kids
When Michael Jordan played back in the day he was must see tv absolutely the best ever!!!
This!. Mj is must see tv, lbj is eh if i catch the game i catch it
Is MJ the GOAT?? I’m dropping a new vid to determine that very soon!! You don’t wanna miss it!! Also check out my other vids on my channel 👀🔥
Must see every game!
Facts!
When Michael Jordan played back in the day he was must watch TV because it was the only game on TV. CBS broadcast the games on Sunday & that game involved Chicago & the Lakers, or Chicago & the Celtics. IT WAS NOT LIKE TODAY WHEN MULTIPLE GAMES ARE TELEVISED, WITH MULTIPLE WAYS OF VIEWING THEM, EVERY SINGLE DAY. CBS also televised the NFL with a double-header on Sunday & the second game of the double-header (which was televised nationally) usually involved Dallas and so Dallas became America's team - not necessarily because america liked the cowboys but they were the only game available, and that was the case with the bulls also.
Yeah, there used to be a midrange, a post game, 5 different positions in basketball. There used to be defense. Footwork used to be really important. It used to be fun to watch basketball, because the full range of plays, the chessboard, the grit. Now, well, watching 3 point shootouts is not basketball.
Now it's like watching NFL without tackles!
It's so sad I've been watching since '90 and now I pay attention but it's just boring....I still LOVE basketball but I hate the NBA they've ruined it
Zorain Green I’ve been saying this for a while, the three point shot is the most overrated component in the game of basketball
The mid range is still there. Kawhi is an example. KD and Steph also go to the mid range not just 3's. But you are right on the post up. Not as much. The thing is I think the reason why no one posts up as much is because of the lack of great big men. If Shaq or Hakeem played in today's game the coach will tailor the style of play to the teams' strengths
💯... I'm a long time fan of the gm used to love watching Mike & Bulls and other matchups with other teams because it was truly competitive and entertaining...now it's just so hard to watch for me that I barely know it's there...
“MJ scored 69... niceee” Richard Jefferson funny bruh😂
"I feel like for some reason, he didn't really like Craig Ehlo's face" lol
I was laughing....and then I realized I somewhat agree with her statement.
He was the same guy who threw a tantrum and was extremely upset after jordan hit that devastating game winner on his head lol 😂😂😂😂😂
@Anthony Okeiyi White players really didn't get much respect back then outside of Larry, McHale, and a handful of others.
Jordan once said that the white guys try their best on defense, then just laughed uncontrollably. Larry Bird himself once said he considered it an insult for a coach to have a white player guard him.
"A specTAcular move,by MIchael Jordan."
- Is Paul Pierce driving? Now...that's a spectacular move.
-Marv Albert
Wow, I actually agree with Mike Greenberg. Jordan in the 2nd threepeat was the best player in the league. Jordan in the 1st threepeat was the best player ever. Can't argue there.
Yes, and he is right.
In his 2nd year as a pro... hubie brown commentating said, "the great michael jordan." MJ was the real deal and people knew his greatness even at such an early age.
In his 2nd year as a pro Hakeem Olajuwon lead Rockets to NBA finals. Despite his greatness, MJ couldnt win title all by himself, just like the rest of all time greats.
@@michaprostko-prostynski520 Hakeem had Ralph Sampson dude...MJ had nothing at all on those early bulls teams. Stop trying to discredit his greatness.
@@michaprostko-prostynski520okay but in the end... how many chips did Olajuwon end up with? Dont get me wrong. I think Hakeem is one of the top 10 all time greats. Hakeem is my guy. But sorry... he cant even hold ancandle to MJ. MJ WAS the NBA in the 90s. Don't come on here with some insignificant stat and try to skew reality. When the majority of people including players and experts say HE IS THE GOAT... you have to atleast show respect.
“The Last Dance” Aka:Ended-Goat-Debate documentary - April 19. 2020
Cough Bill Russell
Bill Russell played with people like Skip Bayless! 😂😂
There never was a debate... MJ23 Basketball God
@@henrybuchan4688 bill russell is great and i think he is undervalued, but he is not MJ level, sorry
@@abovebelowxabx9613 In the 1960s Bill Russell won every championship but one. In the 1980s Michael Jordan won zero. The other MVPs of the 1980s (Jordan's best competition) started playing 1, 3, 5, 10 and 10 years after Russell won his 11th championship ring. The competition did not change that much in 10 years, and the NBA didn't start in 1980.
@@crhuynh8 LMAOOOOO bron play defense only when kuz push him LMAOOOOO... so did bron win defensive player of the year and the scoring title in one season naw that was jordan... bron suppose to be a gifted passer but this season would have been his first to lead the league in assist.... bron lucky there no legit 7ft centers 6"10 pf to clog up the line bron benefit from the spacing because of how the game is played today.... brons fan say Jordan was playing against plumbers because of mj athleticism but the same would apply to bron athleticism vs today players the difference is Jordan has more basketball skills then bron who rely on his athleticism while mj combined athleticism and skill
Even if you're not a Jordan fan still you have to admire his amazing moves OMG!
That he copied from the good doctor and David Thompson
The Cleveland disrespect!😂😂😂 Ehlo somewhere punching air😩😩🤛🏾💨
Yes that first 3 Peat Jordan was otherworldly
Because he had the skill combined with godly athletic ability.
@TheRealist 811 that it probably his most dangerous weapon tbh.
Prime Jordan was 87-93. Those were some great times
Idk, I feel like his 96-98 was better because of his age and intellect in basketball with his fadeways and jumpers
"Jordan...to the fadeaway...Yes."
I remember when MJ made the “spectacular move”, my dad told me and my brother that we’d be seeing that move forever, and boy was he right! They always show the camera view from the right or slightly behind him, but I love the view from his left. It really shows how difficult it was.
Craig Ehlo should be grateful. If it wasn't for Jordan, no one would even know who he is.
For real bro
Not sure he agree but you're 💯
Hahaha true!
🤣🤣🤣🤣⚰️
He was actually a Better Player than People Really know!! But most won't do the reasearch to find out an will just go with the notion that he's just ur average white guy that can't jump lol!!
NBA was fun to watch during those times.
Rexy Flexx players had big smiles on their faces for the most part and the game was just plain fun.
LOL you mean you don't enjoy watching it now
Cavs tried Gerald Wilkens (Brother of Nique), the so called "Jordan Stopper". "He can't guard me" was Jordan's reply
Everything about those bulls from the jerseys to the swag 🔥
Exactly
I watched with my dad and I was the biggest Jordan fan. He loved Magic Johnson. Even when I thought Jordan might miss a clutch shot, my dad would remind me "that's Mike, he's not gonna miss those." Good memories.
The pass is great but it's the steal that we aren't gonna show you that was better.
Haha, I thought the same, but then you can see the steal more clearly at 1:03
@@maxwellsdaemon7 lol gotcha, thanks.
Talk about starting the video in the best possible way. We want you to see two great plays but you can't see them because the in-screen box with Jalen and Mike reacting is going to be in precisely the right place to overlap with where you should look. I'm no expert but I'd want to think put it bottom left or bottom right and definitely not anywhere at the top of the screen. Smart move ESPN.
A espectacular move by Michael Jordan!!! Goosebumps
It looks like Espn is trying to show to the milenium kids who is the GOAT in these days.
YOU DAM RITE ..LBJ GONNA BE EXPOSE 😂😂😂😂
We from Gen Z and we still think MJs the GOAT
@@shayanmardanbeigi2697 Respect. Young folks who take the time to check out old footage know who the GOAT is.
the LBJ kids and fans are in for a show...they'll be suffering for 10 hours of MJ greatness...GOAT period.
LBJ is the GOAT.. they just dropped a 30 minute video of his best plays from the past 5 seasons
Said his 91 finals wasnt his best series but he avg 31 ppg 11 Ast 6 Reb on 55% fg pct that says it all GOAT
56%
@@ericjordan6059 For me is his best. After swept back-to-back champions in their prime.
All around, actually it was his best series. I dont know what the guys was talking about. Unless, he thinks 93 and averaging 41ppg on 50% was better. Which, is debatable. But, all around, I think 91 series was better.
LeBron fans claim LeBron is the better passer but forget MJ had 10 triple doubles in 11 games as point guard and averaged the most assists by a non point guard in finals history
@@evileyegaming405 Magic and MJ were the only players to average more than 11ast (12.4 and 11.4 respectively) in a finals series and the crazy thing is it was in the same series!
And stillll ESPN is reminding y’all who’s the GOAT IS!!!!!!!
Key words: Spectacular, Iconic, Toughness, Great, Leader, Mentality are just a few words to describe MJ. The point is Jordan never called himself the greatest people gave him that title. On the other hand, LeBron gave himself that title and his loyalists believed him.
Greatness is achieved not given, Lebron loyalists can’t let his game speak for itself they need to have a definitive answer. As long as 2011/2012 finals, 3-8 record, excuses for not having enough help, broken hand, and Kyrie making the game winning shot is on his resume. He will remain in the shadow of Jordan.
I've been waiting for 2 years for this, the premier is now only 1 day away!
They called Ehlo to be in documentarybut he didn’t answer his phone, it doesn’t have a ring... either.
🤣🤣🤣
Rimshot....💥
mj- i never lost a game, i just ran out of time
lebron- we lost the game because my teamates didnt play well, and the coaching staff made some bad decision at the end
LOL.
Don't hurt his feeling about LeBron ahhahahahha
December 2016 L
If lebron said that the media would call him weak and soft and say lebron you had 48 mintues to win especially Skip Bayless
Keith H i know you feel sad, but its true
Michael Jordan best player basketball in history... 99
MJ deserves the ever-elusive 100 overall.
He is overrated
Speaking of 99. Jordan is to basketball what #99 Wayne Gretzky is to hockey.
@@powerwill2110HUH???🤔🙄😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
With or without rings
Jalen throw them glasses away bro
T.C. Crawford he lit lit tho
@@lo_boybaby685 lol no he's not. No self respecting 47 year old going around looking like that
Well hopefully some of the younger athletes who grew up on lebron can finally see the respect other respected analysts and athletes give him and everyone u see here on this video is each person recognizing he is the real goat. Ain’t no bs around it buddy. Except it. Not even a discussion. Anything anyone has to say with lebron being better in whatever category u wanna pick.. u might got me in one. But POINT BLANK MJ IS THE ALL AROUND GREATEST HUMAN TO EVER TOUCH A BASKETBALL
I mean.... The documentary doesn't compare him to anyone so yeah it'll obviously make him look like a superhuman. It's just like when you watch a superhero movie as a kid and spend a few days believing the superhero is actually real.
Well Bill Laimbeer said few days ago that Lebron is better. Hes the most relevant player to compare them. Since he played against Mike a lot and defeated bulls 3 times in playoffs.
@jocriss stop disrespecting the real goat lebron. mj is just a media created myth to discredit lebron. stop being brainwashed by the media. you know that lebron is way better than mj both offensively and defensively. Lebron will make mj cry just like all those mj crybaby emoji.
@wall breaker stop hating on the goat lebron. Stop being brainwashed by the media. Nothing mj is better than lebron. Lebron is bigger, faster, smarter and most importantly, more mental tough than mj. Lebron will make mj cry and quit like how mj quit on the bulls twice... So are you calling a crybaby and quitter being better than lebron? Smh 🤦♂️
Yeah and MJ is has 6 rings with 0 finals losses. Then stopped playing for 3 freaking years when really MJ and Phil Jackson maybe could’ve continued the dynasty if it wasn’t for the firing of Phil Jackson Then really the dynasty coulda have had another shot at a 7th title/!!!!!! Seven!!!
Greeny's take at the end summed it up perfectly.
Way before my time, but I’ve always loved classic basketball way more, those look like magical moments
They were.
MJ scored back 2 back 50pts vs Cleveland in the playoffs. The GOAT! Michael WiLbon 10:15 LOL
This new doc will show once and for all that Jordan is the real GOAT. Take notes and watch, Nick Wright.

Ehlo was really good though except when Jordan came calling.
Exactly he wasn't just another player he was good
People dont realize but he was considered a good defensive player. Maybe not defensive all team player but a solid defensive player. Thus, that is way he faced MJ all the time. Obviously, Pistons defended MJ as a team and had some success. Forget about triple teaming or double teaming.
ESPN during Corona: lets show some Lebron highlights to pass the time.
ESPN 5minutes later: so that was that.
Depends on what kind of highlights...example, if you’re looking for buzzer beaters/under 24 second game winners...Kobe and lebrons tape are longer than MJs
This MJ last dance Documentary Shows his greatness among other. The GOAT

None of this surprises me... nowadays the NBA has physical freaks doing things like this every night

Michael Jordan is going to make a lot of new fans from this doc. To be honest, he already has a ton of fans across ALL generations. Skip Bayless was born 1951. Zion was born 2000. MJ is a timeless superhero to us...🦸🏿♂️

I love even more 80's basketball
Double pumped in the air then switched hands.
Were talking about the goat.... i like bron but mike is the god of all time...haha
*Jesus left the chat*
How many rings he got without Scottie again. Lol stop it with the god of 🏀 stuff. He could've did what Kobe did and proved that he could win without the other star on the team, but he didn't because MJ didn't believe in himself like his flunkies do.
@@waliahmad3030 you are funny. Hehehehhee. Jordan made pippen. Jordan never joined an all star team like Kobe and LeBron. You serious?
john carlo Florentino yea this guy crazy lol. Mj didn’t believe in himself but the last time we checked Mj has way more clutch shots and moments than anyone who played the game smh. He was a killer on the court and everyone who know basketball know this fact.
Kobe's Lakers weren't winning anything that year till Pau showed up. Period, he completely changed their dynamic.
Props to Richard Jefferson on the "69? Nice!"
Btw, this is the 1st time we’ve seen this, different expert commentators making just fandom comments to highlights. Loved it! That was great! We will indefinitely see this about more great players, I expect both Kobe and LeBron. They will have great ones in their own right but no one will ever have people geek out as much as Jordan’s Besides perfection in the finals, his highlights also make him the real GOAT. The highest mix of artistry, athleticism and savagery.
Greeny's reaction to is the best🤣🤣🤣
That no look before the hand switch was goated too.
I don't dislike a great player that slices and dices my team, even in a super important game. I am in awe. My high school football team played Marcus Allen's HS team in the playoffs. He sliced and diced our school at both QB and RB. The man was amazing. Yeah, we were heartbroken at the loss of a close game in the final moments, but Marcus Allen was amazing. Steve Young sliced and diced my city's team in the SB. I was embarrassed for our team, but Steve Young's mastery (I think he had 5 TD passes) was beautiful to see. I did see the broadcast of the 1998 game 6. How can anyone not be in awe of MJ's steal and game winning shot? Heartbreaking for UT for sure, but total beauty. I don't think it could have been scripted in a movie more beautiful than that.
Man that first clip against Utah was straight GOAT! Even they way he fell after shooting the 3 was fly..lol
The Real Goat and it’s not even close! I don’t want to hear anything else about Lebron James!!
What is the point of saying this if you actually feel that way
Trent Irvin it’s not about feelings but facts that he was the greatest to ever do it!!!!
What about Bill Russell?
the greatest player in the greatest era
He would cook his defender with the same move 5x per game, and you would still marvel at it in amazement. Man, to see Hannah Storm talking about it brings back all those NBC memories.
AND WE'RE GONNA ACT LIKE THAT PASS BEFORE THE SPECTACULAR LAYUP WASNT AMAZING. AMAZING!
The 90's was the greatest generation of basketball
I love hearing Hannah Storm's opinions. She was there in a lot of those games. When NBC became The Michael Jordan Channel usually on Sundays, I remember her short hair. She's actually prettier now and she's turning 58.
No debate! Best ever!
Blessed are we who witnessed this incredible athlete doing his dance

Lmao people's reaction is beyond priceless 😂 it almost seems like the people are extremely shocked on how many points Jordan was putting. Not for me. is this really news flash in 2020. As I die hard MJ fan Other than that I'm looking forward to the documentary tomorrow💯
Right? I used to watch the Jordan VHS tapes back when I was a little kid. I knew all about Jordans great moments & his psychopathic intensity... I guess people forget with time...
@@88949597 exactly same for me that's how I was introduced to Michael jordan even watching space jam and Jordan to the max. Remember having a wizards jersey as we'll in the early 2000s. Even tho he was alwaysl way perfect human being But I truly respected him as a player and as a individual who showed us what It means to put in work. And to be passionate about it He is the exact reason why I love the game of basketball to this very day 💯
I grew up watching this so i knew about this it's funny people reaction about who's the greatest when they say LeBron then they see what Jordan dose and it's so much better on all levels come on now Jordans the greatest
He scored 69 points with 18 rebounds against Cleveland Cavaliers. No one does that kind of double double stats. Imagine 18 rebounds but he also scored 69 points at the same time on that same game. Feeling like I believed I can fly
jalen rose blazedddddddd
Wilbon biting David Aldridge story...😹🤣
I don't think Michael Jordan will ever be surpassed in popularity. He has his haters like everybody else but he isn't as polarizing as Kobe was in his heyday or LeBron after The Decision. Most popular celebrity in the world.
My man Jalen Rose is FRIED!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hope I can watch The last dance tomorrow😢🙏😕
The Last Dance happened during 1997-1998, or my favorite school year ever. I love my 11th grade. Better media content in the early-90s. More fun times in the late-90s once I knew how to drive. It will always remain my favorite.
September 1997 released Final Fantasy VII here in the States. My favorite video game ever. And I remember 29 cents hamburgers at McDonald's on Wednesdays. I'd buy 5 of them those days during my lunch breaks. The 39 cents cheeseburgers were on Sundays.
So it's reversed. For better quality, it's the early-90s. Jordan was better that time. Movies and music were better. But for my personal favorites, it's the late-90s. Just good times being a teenager, smoking weed for the first time a week before my 17th birthday, getting into Star Wars, and just hanging out with different people.
90's Basketball was the best Basketball to watch!
who doesn't love 90s basketball...🤷♂️
Fun fact: MJ’s first NBA nickname was Captain Marvel. The announcers calling the games used to call him that.
"Jordan with 43. Malone is doubled. They swat at him and steal it! Here comes Chicago. 17 seconds. 17 seconds, from Game 7, or from championship #6. Jordan, open, CHICAGO WITH THE LEAD! Timeout Utah, 5.2 seconds left. Michael Jordan, running on fumes, with 45 points."
Ohh my Gosh, Jordan was a really good player, I’m just now finding this out. 🏀
I miss the 90s basketball.
The GOAT
One game weather I live or die it better be Jordan taking the shot
During a game against the Knicks, Starks, Oakley and Ewing were defending MJ. He didn’t pass the ball but went on dunk on Ewing. MJ is the GOAT.

I’m sorry NO OTHER player will be talked about in this manner. The way Jordan jus left everyone AWESTRUCK at his magnificence even to this day! I don’t care who NO OTHER player will reach this level hands down!
That cavs game was the highest game score ever recorded...n devin booker vs Jordan.. 69 points 18 rebounds 6 assists 4 steals 1 block 23-37 62 %shooting: 70 points 8 rebounds 6 assists 3 steals 1 block 21-40 52 percent shooting...in taking jordans game
I miss 90s basketball..it was rough,it was vulgar,it was violent..It was great
THE GOAT!!! And second place aint close.......
Maria Taylor makes a good point about the 1990s. It was more balanced. It wasn't just threes or layups like today. You had to develop other skills than just chucking threes and doing layup drills.
The goat
