We Bhutanese love Nepali. I had and still have lots of Bhutanese Nepali speaking best friends in high schools and still do right now in college at Thailand (from Nepal). The singer's lead guitarist I guess is such one for the singer here and most probably he sang lots of Nepali songs before he came with t(his) own compositions. The most recently national award wining singer from Bhutan is a Nepali song fan though he was not a Nepali origin (He became famous in college days singing "Mayako" and got himself called by the song). We do sing lots of Nepali songs and hopefully this singer singers one for you (us). Cheers.
