Just watched this movie almost a week ago and came back here to tell everyone I highly recommend it. BTW, Ana De Armas did absolutely amazing in this film! I've only seen a couple of her films, but have been a huge fan since War Dogs and she's definitely gone a long way imo. Looking forward to seeing her play in more action roles.

I’m glad that Chris Evans doesn’t get stereotyped into “good guy” roles. I remember his role as Human Torch in F4 as being somewhat a**hole. Then his characters in Snowpiercer and Knives Out have dark sides. And now this! What a versatile actor and I’m all for it!

I cannot understand how anyone would dislike this movie. Ryan and Anna are phenomenal, the niece was a really interesting character, and Evans was a hilarious villain. Silver Bird was the perfect cherry on top.

well i can explain. i for example don’t LOVE it cause almost every cgi action secene is SO heavy with for example the lens blare.. it’s SOO annoying. the firework action scene in the beginning is SO muddy, the plane scene afterwards also, so muddy and packed with lens blares i couldn’t focus. watch it back and look exactly when the plane scene ends and you see the road and traffic by night. these shots are sooo different that not only does it look like a different movie, but from a different year

After watching this, I actually want the russo brothers to comeback for avengers 5 and 6. They just have the balance of whats need to be done to a point it isn't too much or too little, russo brothers are the best directors when it comes to these kinds of films, watched the gray man and it was so good.
The pacing in the movie was fast but it seemed like it was like it so it was perfect, the plot was simple yet different but still familiar, character writing is really great I love chris evans as a villian and he killed it, everything didn't felt force and it was just perfect in everyway. Think this is better than kingsman 1

I think the script was one of the weakest points of the film but maybe that's just me...again doesnt mean the directing is not Amazing and the Russo Brothers show that they can do their Magic outside Marvel...again my only real concern with the film was some not so convincing dialogue and writing that didnt quite did it for me. Outside that the drone shots are 💣.
I'd absolutely love to see the Russo's come back to a Marvel movie or even TV show now that they are more experienced and have worked on shows like Community... they are my top 1 pic for The Thunderbolts, hopefully they do direct that film 💪. The Gray Man is unique enough to set itself apart and a future sequel doesnt sound Bad either

Oh my lord I’ve put off watching this movie but I finally did it and WOW! I cannot explain how fun this movie was, I was engaged the entire time and I loved Chris as a villain. Everyone who want to watch the movie please do. The idea of spies or agents of the government fighting against the government is becoming one of my favourite genres. Well done and I hope for a sequel!!!

My god, Netflix did a big one with this movie! Had my heart racing with all the action scenes. I’m late but I’m glad I was able to catch it. Hoping we get a sequel!!!
I was praying to God that a good action/thriller would finally come out..phenomenal film and I'm looking forward to the continuation..it would be a shame not to continue the film when it has a good basis for the continuation.
It has to continue, it cannot stay like this, that they are on the run and that the villains rule in the CIA, so that the truth from the drive is not revealed.
This movie is based on the first of 11 books, which I all highly recommend reading. The author, Mark Greaney, also co-authored books with Tom Clancy and Rip Rawlings. He literally finished the last 3 Tom Clancy novels after Tom Clancy's death and wrote 4 more Tom Clancy based books. However, The Gray Man series of books is rather different from the typical Tom Clancy spy novels. They are more action-packed and violent. There is plenty of material for more movies.

I’m glad Chris Evans isn’t just a voice on the other end of the phone. Give me Extraction action with both Good guy and bad guy fleshed out. Where we feel the brutality of them both and I will most def get goosebumps.

First of all they aced in choosing the perfect casts for the right role. The Chemistry of working together between Ana de Armas and Ryan Gosling. The Conspiracies in the movie, the fight scenes, and the Sports Car stunt by Ana de Armas. The Mastermind planning of Chris Evans throughout the whole movie. The down to earth, composed, protective, committed and soft corner of Ryan Gosling when protecting Julia Butters. The sacrifice of Billy Bob Thornton. This Movie has proved that it can compete with James Bond Movies. Need more Part 2 and 3 of 'The Grey Man'. Hoping Gerald Butler also takes a role in the next part.
The Gray Man is based on the first of 11 books, which I all highly recommend reading or listening to on Audible. The author, Mark Greaney, also co-authored books with Tom Clancy and Rip Rawlings. He literally finished the last 3 Tom Clancy novels after Tom Clancy's death and wrote 4 more Tom Clancy based books. However, The Gray Man series of books is rather different from the typical Tom Clancy spy novels. They are more action-packed and violent.
The first book, which this movie is based on, is better. They changed quite a few details for the movie. If you are interested in reading the books, start with the 1st. The first book came out in 2009 and had a movie option within 3 months. It influenced a lot of other books, movies and TV shows.
I think Ryan can be the New Gen Action Star, the personality, the lil jokes, the gestures.... An Icon! ❤️
