- I won't take any side because I equally prefer DC and #Marvel. MCU movies are more crowd-pleasing and way better reviewed than DCEU movies, sure. DC made the mistake of giving Zack Snyder (a guy who only makes dark, solemn movies) the keys to the kingdom with marching orders that said, in effect: “Hey, see what Marvel is doing over there, making billions? We want to do the same thing, but completely opposite.” Most of the #DCEU problems stem from the head… and there is no clean solution to that problem at this time. Making a subsidiary studio, forming a story group and actually allowing them to call the shots, maybe even hiring Kevin Feige in a consulting position to help build the infrastructure. #PJExplained

The biggest problem of dc is warner brothers, they don't allow directors to work freely.

Hate to say it but it seems more like DCEU was created not to make a Cinematic Universe but to compete with MCU. They made Man Of Steel but after Avengers collected 1.51 billion USD. They rushed their projects they didn't even make a solo origin movie of their biggest Superhero Batman and lacked Connection with the audience, that's why a very few people cried on Superman's Death

Actually DCEU was supposed to be a franchise not a full cinematic universe. Zack snyder wanted to a Man of steel sequel but due to WB it couldn't happen. Then Zack made 5 movie deal. MOS, BVS, Jl 1, 2 & 3. DCEU was supposed to be ended with JL 3. In between those, there was supposed to be some spin-off movies example as Wonder woman, Aquaman, Shazam, Black Adam, Flash, Martian manhunter, Batman, Constantine, Suicide squad, Green lantern, Gotham sirens etc. It was supposed to the lord of the rings of DC. After JL 3, the end of DCEU, WB can reboot DCEU with flashpoint into a proper cinematic universe. What could have been! But due to WB's stupidity this could happen. That's why #RestoreTheSnyderVerse.

Snyder directed BvS & MOS way back and nobody took it as a best dc movie, he way only taken seriously (which was out of sympathy),because WB's trashed him(which i feel sorry for him too). I mean snyder's JS was better compared to jostice but it can't be taken as a great movie.
And for the people who are going to assume i am a Dc hater because of this personal opinion should know Joker movie is one of my favorite movie. I am expecting that kind of style from Dc movies, look want Joker did, it was beyond successful.

Yeah man of steel wasn't popular enough but bvs was, even if it was hated back then, people to this day debate whether it's a good movie or not. Bvs is kind of the reason why Snyder has soo many fans. There is literally a cult following for that movie.

Zack Snyder had a brilliant vision for DCEU... It was different and somewhat even better than MCU .
But WB was in hurry and lacked patient...it wanted to repeat the MCU success but they didn't allowed Zack enough time to build the Universe.
WB wanted DC movies to be PG-13 after MCU , Zack wanted PG-16 .
WB wanted silly jokes, Zack wanted a serious Tone .
So WB cancelled Batman Solo , Green lantern reboot, Man of Steel 2 , Even Brought Joss Whedon to bring Cringey Jokes in DC Justice League.
These steps damaged DCEU .
Zack had plenty of time. You don’t need multiple solo movies to flesh out characters who have been around for decades. All you needed were good stories that respected the characters. Instead Zack tried to reinvent Superman. Turned Bruce Wayne into an angry rich guy who thought it was ok to kill. And who knows what twisted crap he planned for the other characters.

Warner Bros keeps on interfering with Director's work even though they make more R-Rated content than any other studious. The production house which brought hope to us & cinema-halls through Harry Potter, Lord of the rings, Monster-Verse, Hobbit, Matrix, Nolan films etc. today cut down enormous lengths of movies just to make more money. This is the reason many directors left working with them due to studio interference. Hope they find their fault & bring some good CEO or something for DC and other franchise that understand cinema & fans to get their money rather than just money.

And if we apply the same reasons and arguments to every film, then "the dark knight is also not a masterpiece."
Ponder upon it once, the dark knight didn't had any cultural impacts, it's hasn't got much notable points (except story, acting and background score). It's just an emotionless social drama where a protagonist fights the antagonist along with his colleagues in order to safeguard his city. That's sit.
Snyder cut is a masterpiece, and it will always be a masterpiece. It's on the level of the dark knight (many also call it better).

A few days ago I re-watched BvS - UE and this time, I was highly amazed by that movie's representation of concept of God and Belief and Religion and what if Superheroes existed in real (either it's a God-like alien or just a normal human).
It's one of the deepest movies I've watched till now, especially out of CBMs.
Note: I'm not one of those people who used to bitch about BvS and Snyder and his movies but now, like many others, appreciate them.
Earlier I liked BvS, now I love it, but I NEVER hated it like many assholes.
And Man of Steel was always one of my favourites, a masterpiece for me.

Animated movies from DC are the best, DC have two Cinematic Universes in Animated Movies(from Flashpoint to Justice League Dark: Apokolips War) and TV series (from Batman Animated TV series to Justice League) and one Live Action Universe (CW)
DC is best on small screen and animated content. They should use this approach in their Live Action Movies.
Marvel doesn't have many animated movies but have some TV shows and only one Cinematic Universe only in Movies.
