    Fiat Tipo is a new project with an old name. This compact sedan was first presented to the world as Project Aegea, as in the Aegean Sea, which is between Greece and Turkey. By strange coincidence Tipo’s predecessor, Fiat Linea was also made in Turkey. And this is also where Fiat Tipo is made. So for the Turkish market it’s Fiat Egea. And how did Fiat come up with Tipo? Some of you may remember a hatchback made in late 1980s and early 1990s. Fiat decided the Tipo name is still associated with the brand, and decided to use it again for its compact segment offer. Joining Tipo sedan will soon be a station wagon, and a hatchback.

    Hi! i also drove the 1.6 120hp and i think it is powerfull enough, confortable enough, precise in all mechanical and techonological aspects, i like the design a lot. I have a fiat bravo 1.6 mjet 105hp and it has been very reliable, nice to drive in all aspects. So this new fiat tipo for me is a very good suprise! I think it suits me! ☺. Thank you once again for your program Marek! Cheers from Portugal

    I have the 2018 1.3 Multijet Lounge Estate. I am very pleased with the car drives nice, looks nice, loads of space and has never seemed underpowered. Only downside the centre consul is completely useless the storage compartment is set too far back due to the cup holders..... for me a bad basic design frustrating to the point of not using it except for taking a bottle of milk to work.

    For some strange reason I'm attracted to this car as a basic car to do your shopping and commute. It's stylish, big enough and it's got the italian heritage. But getting a Tipo would mean I'd probably need to buy something exciting for the weekend :)

    it's a good car. The interior is made of hard plastic but it has a decent quality and in terms of longevity I can say it's great. The ride is a bit firm and wind noise may be a bit higher than normal. Dash design looks much better in person, t's wide and bulky and feels expensive. The car looks great. I prefer corolla in this segment because its superior biuld and ride quality but Fiat did a good job and I think it looks hotter than Ford, Hyundai accent and Corolla.

    I like cars that look modern but in the same time conservative/like a normal car so the Tipo hits my taste really and I absolutely do not like narrow/tapering back side windows like nearly at all modern cars but the Tipo has nicely big windows so I can get there a great view through all rear windows. For me it's a really nice car (and Skoda Rapid or Seat Ibiza e.g. are too boring inside, Tipo is not a design wonder inside but has some pleasant parts).

    This might be the best car Fiat has ever released. I like the design very much, and the price is awesome too. I am looking for a sedan for around 20-25,000€ and i think i found a winner. Would you recommend this over the VW Jetta?

    • @AY-dw4om
      @AY-dw4om Před 7 lety

      not in the same league or even close. there is a reason the Jetta costs around 50% more. this fiat is a competitor to the Peugeot 301 and skoda rapid league. the fiat is best in terms of material and finish, but last in terms of engineering and driving qualities. in fact, its driving qualities is dates some 20 years. so decide what you like more: road manners of the car and driving qualities, then the Peugeot 301 and skoda rapid wins easily. if the design and internal finish is what you prefer, the fiat is the winner. like always, Italians are good at design. not so in mechanical and engineering. P.S I cross tested 301 vs fiat tipo one vs the other together. really wanted the fiat to shine in that comparison, and the design and looks surely won my hart over the Peugeot, But the driving qualities ruined the party way to much for me, to even consider the tipo as a viable option.Compared this league of cars for example to Ford Focus or Skoda Octavia, that like the Jetta costs some 50% more, and the quality of everything jumps up dramatically. so choose wisely how much are you willing to spend on your car, and what is this car intended for. if its your second car in the family, these cheap options are more than enough. if its your first family car, that does all the heavy duty around the year, and Octavia or a Focus will do much better in every aspect.

    • @Hazehellivo
      @Hazehellivo Před 7 lety

      I disagree with you on one aspect. My sister bought a new Tipo, the car interiorly looks good and simple but its full of hard cheap plastic, it feels very low quality.

    • @AY-dw4om
      @AY-dw4om Před 7 lety +1

      To what you compare it ? if you compare to the likes of Octavia or Focus level then you are right. but if you compare to the Peugeot 301 which is in the same level and price as the Tipo, material wise, the Tipo is much better than the Peugeot 301 in that plastic regard. Compare apple to apple to draw a relevant line.

    • @JoeCembalo
      @JoeCembalo Před 7 lety +7

      Don't hope to get it in India before 2017 or maybe 2070 !! ;)
      Fiat doesn't care about Indian customers, they just throw in old Punto and Linea face lifts!
      They are happy with it and pray that their customers too be content with it!!

      +Mr11ESSE111 well just wait for some reviews ... here in Slovakia and in Czech Republic the reviews were comparing the Tipo to Rapid and were pretty positive ... and the hatchback and the combi should be better as those should be designed for western europe unlike the sedan which was designed for turkey and similar markets ... still the Tipo will be probably a pretty cheap good equiped car which can be a difficulty with the Rapid ... as it can get very expensive very quick
