No, alot of is BS and scaremongering. and I live in the UK and our health and safety/food hygiene laws are alot stricter. Apparently this is why we don't import hardly any food from the USA lol. :)

I think you're right. I have worked at Burger King here in Sweden and we were all very careful to keep things clean and nice, always throw away food that had been in wait for longer than (I think it was 5 minutes) and so on. I ate the food there 5 times a week for 3,5 years and I didn't get fat or sick. I did get really tired of hamburgers though and I almost never eat it now. :P

ok, I just want to clarify here that McD's does not use the pink goo in their nuggets. I am a mgr at Mickey D's & when I was going through all my training & classes they actually showed us a video about where some of our products come from. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that our nuggets actually come from Tyson. It showed them going through the whole process, like cutting the chicken ( they only used the best parts, like the breast) and the batter coating, precooking to packaging. You can probably find the video on youtube. Not 100% on that so don't quote me.

The 20 year old burger isn't deteriorating because it's dry. Bacteria and mold need moisture to grow, and so any food that dries out will remain preserved, just rock hard. There's a reason dried food is a thing
+Aethryx nope, if its placed in an enclosed box it will mold and start to decay, air can dry out food, but once contained its mold growth rate is much faster. Moisture can happen in enclosed areas.... Ive witness this.

as someone who works at fast food. I can confirm that mcdonalds, does not use precooked patties. I work the grill and yes we use a double sided grill that cooks patties super fast, but, no they are not precooked.

I've heard of that burger that lasted 20 years, they explained that it was mummified in a way, because is was left in a jacket at first, removing moisture to keep it preserved for many years
