- In this video, we'll take a look at the Sop-Level RBD tools which were introduced with Houdini 18. The videos represent the first three lessons of Destruction II, and the rest of the course will soon be released!
Check out cgforge.com for more awesome stuff, and thanks for stopping by!
Thank you so much, you're tutorials are amazing and the easiest the follow I come across, great work and please keep them coming!
Thanks Hugojonson! Will do - especially with Destruction II. I'll be expanding upon this particular course in the near future
@@cgforge amazing, can't wait for it!
Really amazing tutorial I gonna subscribe
Press the plus next to Fracture Level to add the new layer at the end. You're pressing the insert button.
At 35:20, pieces won't move even if the glue constraint has a small value (even 0), the glue should be broken entirely to be influenced by the forces. It is not a bug, this is how Houdini works.
Thanks for the tip Emil! Right now the plan is to re-do destruction II at some point soon and fix up issues like that. Since making this video, there's been many areas that I intend on improving for the future.
seems if you check the "constraints" option at the bottom of rbdconfigure node ,set Pin to 1 and check "use Bounds" instead "Bullet Data" way in the video.you just need a box geo connect to input4 of rbdconfigure node then animate the box,you will get the exact result. And I think this is much easier.
Great tut btw.I've learnt so much from it.
Can you edit a link to the video please? Now it's incorrect :(
is there a way to "convert" the rbd into a dopnet? I need that to export the simulation into a Vertex Animation Texture. Ty for the tutorial btw
Hey FMHeart, you could allow the editing of contents by right clicking the node and selecting that option. Once you do that, dive into the DOP net where all the action is happening, and you can adjust anything you'd like from there.
I can’t see this in full on the website?
Hey Steve, thanks for pointing that out. I took destruction ii off cg forge because I'll be releasing the full course over the next couple of months and including workflows for glass and wood as well. I meant to take this off CZcams as well, but ohh well.
