That’s really good idea to type the copyright into word first. That’s better.

how about the north arrow in layout window since technically mapinfo only provide north arrow in 'map window' i strugled to insert the north arrow into layout window any advice?

You can add a Text item to the Layout. Select the MapInfo Arrows font and type the north arrow of choice and size (Clue: ! " % ^ *)

@@johnievers4696 unfortunately the arrow style for this method not match the north arrow style as we desired.
last night I found an unconventional way but works pretty well:
      1. in map window create north arrow as usual standard basis
      2. the north arrow will automatically stored in cosmetic layer.
      3. we can save the cosmetic layer object on screen into new table, i'm sure this menu still available in mipro 64bit. as the new table created containing our north arrow (the table should be opened into a 'new window' not 'current map' or whatever).
      4. in the layout window we can call this new 'north arrow' table into layout page by inserting new frame. adjust the frame zooming or scale
      done perfectly as we desired.
      Warning to Mapinfo:
      * why this problem happened in the new 64 bit version, as in 32bit we never find this issue. (north arrow in layout page)
      * in 32 bit we struggled with puting scale bar in layout window, funny thing is the problem is resolved in 64 bit version 😂
      * fit map object (i knew this only avilable in discover menu) suddenly disappear in 64 bit, in ribbon menu i can't find it, although in layout thet enhance fitting the map fram by activating the frame but this new method still cumbersome. they (datamine and pitney bowes) try to 'arcmapping the mapinfo'
      * pressing c the crosshair will appear and now, mapinfo has lost it.
      * as 32 bit mapinfo users, i strongly believe, we face the new 64 bit version like a novice beginner, alt-tabing back and forth from 32 bit to 64 bit window, only just tryin to figure out where does our favorite menu hiding in scrambled ribbon toolbars.
*the never improve the shortcut access to a certain menu. i know this is not autocad but GIS need to be more powerful to analyse geographical data by enhancing shortcut command thourh our fingertips on keyboard.

There is a feature to add Gridlines >Map >Content >Add to map >Gridlines. Or you can add co-ordinates using SmartText in the margins

guys, map scale according to the way you create the layout seems to be automatic and not consistent by zooming in and out. what to do so the map scale won't be distorted?

Sorry Joyce for not replying. We couldn't understand your question.
You must activate the Map Window to set the scale. Once you have set it and adjusted the map position to suit your needs, then you should de-activate the map.
