    I have the 88, it's awesome, you don't need a big screen as everything preset sounds great. That is the grace of this piano. you turn it on and go!

    I'm not a pianist, not by any stretch of the imagination. Up until last month I was still using my old Korg X-50 until it unexpectedly died. The grandstage is more powerful than I need, but I ordered one anyway, the excellent acoustic and electric piano sounds, the design, and the fact that I can actually practice with a weighted keyboard now is something I can't wait to play with.
    Korg, you should thank Anderton's and give Luke a raise, because their demo videos sold me. (Playing in this video is still great, just giving Luke the praise he's due)

      I’ve played both and I own the RD. Just my opinion, the RD 2000 has a better feel (keys), but the GS has better sounds out the box. With the RD, you’d have to spend some time adjusting the sounds of the pianos.

    • @Jason75913
      @Jason75913 Před 7 měsíci

      RD2000 is fairly dated, sound-wise.
      Better sound can be had for less money very easily from every brand, even Roland.
      It has been this way for some years now.

    • @jymcaputo
      @jymcaputo Před 5 lety

      I can't decide between purchasing this board or the Yamaha CP4. Certain sounds on the CP are superior (acoustic and jazz guitar sounds which I use extensively). A plus for the CP, you can layer 2 sounds and have a 3rd sound below the split point. But the CP is limited to 16 quick recall favorites and WILL NOT transmit program changes to my Motif Rack ES. However, the GS allows for 64 quick recall favorites plus it will transmit program changes to a single User Bank of the Motif. Therefore, I could easily program the Motif to provide the 3rd layer/split part that is missing on the GS. Lastly, I hear that the CP action is far superior to the GS RH3 action which is not as piano like and stiff in my opinion. None of the retailers have inventory on the CP (for me to audition the action). I also hear talk that the CP is on the verge of being discontinued. Guitar Center blew out their remaining inventory at around $1500. BIG DECISION TO MAKE HERE.

    • @yamahamusicians
      @yamahamusicians Před 5 lety

      Yeah the CP4 is a lovely keyboard but it is now looking a little old compared to what is currently out there. The release of the MODX has muddied the waters even more. Many are now going for a MODX7 or MODX8 and indeed we have a thread running on our forum about buying the CP4 of MODX8 which you can find here: yamahamusicians.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=109&t=7973&p=70502&hilit=Yamaha+CP4#p70502
      In your case there are I think very specific reasons why you are only looking at the CP4 and KORG Grandstage as featured in this video so perhaps the MODX would not suit your purpose. Have you looked at it though?

    now the Korg Grandstage 88 is all sold out every where... is it due to the chip shortage? They are not making it any more. Is there a replacement model?

  • @reikamaria2077

    Sound nice ... but ... what an awful and bulky design. And the RH3 action isn't any better. For worse, it's heavy. These days no stage piano 73 should weight more than 30 lbs. And those tiny "screens"?. Please, it's 2019. Stop with these late 80s designs. You have a great touch screen for Kronos, and not for this?. At least give HDMI input to use a laptop as the needed screen.

    • @jazzpotato7483
      @jazzpotato7483 Před rokem +2

      I bought this because of its "heavier" RH3-keys. If this is too heavy for you there is other alternatives. Personally I don't want to carry around a 88-key piano but I very much want the piano's full weighted action. The screen isn't anything I care about, my eyes have no problem reading it. I just need a good sounding piano that feels like one. Grandstage 73 is therefor perfect for me, it's my gigging piano when the place doesn't have a real piano. Thank you Korg!👌
