    Thanks for the insights and how the cameras relate to each other.
    Just one little technical improvement idea: when you write the advantages of the zu-e10 on the left side and the a6600 on the Right side you have to keep this in mind during filming. Otherwise in the edited video you talk about the zv-e10 and point to the right where the advantages of the a6600 are noted. This might confuse the audience.

      For a first camera, you should look at the ZV-E10, the canon m50 or the Olympus em5 mark ii. Those threes are great first cameras. The M50 is probably the easiest to use but the ZV-E10 has the most video features. The EM5 has the best stabilization. So it’s all about your preference

    Any quality issues with just using the a7c in crop mode as opposed to an actual apsc camera?

    • @MarkBennettCameraCrisis
      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  Před 2 lety +1

      if just for video the 10-20 would be fine on the A7C, it would just go into crop mode. the pics should only be about 10megapixels so you will suffer a loss of quality in pictures (unless publishing to web where it won’t matter much) . The A7C is a better camera, and you can get that full frame glass eventually. I would for sure get the A7C if it was the same price.

    I have been considering buying this camera for my twitch livestream but s well as vlogs and your videos have been helping a lot !! I really appreciate it. Would you be able to cover how to deal with the rolling shutter speed or how to minimize the jello like effect this camera has? That’s the only real downside i see when it comes to the ZV-e10 especially as a new starting camera.

    • @MarkBennettCameraCrisis
      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  Před 2 lety +1

      to minimize rolling shutter, don’t pan the camera from side to side quickly. If you have slow, controlled movement, you won’t get rolling shutter. it’s when you move fast that it becomes an issue. I don’t like walking while shooting because that that will usually give shaky footage and the jello effect. When using the camera on a tripod for things like streaming, rolling shutter obviously is a non-issue.

      you don’t need an adapter - they fit on the same mount. for video - it will act the same - the full frame will just go into apsc mode (except for the a7siii and fx3 because they only have 12mp) For photos, you will lose resolution so a 24megapixel sensor will go down to about 10 so that won’t be great for anything besides online distribution (unless it’s a high megapixel camera like the A7RV

      Rolling shutter will be as bad on the a6600, yes. But, like you J.R., I don’t have problems with rolling shutter because I don’t use cameras in ways it would be a problem. @nomad0714 Před 2 lety

    Hi Mark,
    Another good video.
    To add to your comparison, I think it comes down to your use case and style.
    I wouldn’t try to make the ZV-e10 bigger to match with the a6600 with an external monitor because I would get the a660 then.
    The ZV-e10 is great for beginners and people who want mostly the new convenient tech you mentioned in the video.
    For prosumers and pros, there are certain features you need that you mentioned that would fit a6600 more like ergos, longer battery life without adding a external battery source, weather sealing, and the details needed for stills, evf, manual controls or custom buttons, buffer size and clearing, focus stacking.
    I’m curious to know that you mentioned that the sensor size are same but how about the image processors, are they the same?
    I am heavily invested in ff lenses for Sony (A7R4 and A9 but looking to unload for the A1 and A7S3) and Canon (R5) but like these small form factors for convenient.
    Keep up the good work!

      @MarkBennettCameraCrisis  Před 2 lety +1

      huge upgrade over the a6000. it takes great photos, but it took me some time to get used to no viewfinder. Sony’s back screen isn’t a great resolution, so you have to trust your settings. when you get back in post, you can see how great the photos are

    • @Garbid
      @Garbid Před 2 lety

      Main is AF. I bought last year a6600 (for battery life) after using for 4 years a6000. Difference in AF for stills is outstanding. Real time tracking AF on shutter release. EYE AF on back button and that's all you need.

    • @saifaldin_
      @saifaldin_ Před 2 lety

      The biggest upgrade from an A6000 is definitely AF (accuracy, tracking, eye AF, and speed in low light situations). Next, especially if you shoot jpegs, is the colours. In terms of shooting experience, apart from the lack of EVF, not having as much customisable buttons does mean that the zv-e10 won’t be as flexible as the A6000. But this may or may not affect you personally, based on your style of shooting.

The 6600 IBIS doesn’t sound effective for any movement in video, and the EV 10 has option for catalyst browse (not keen to pack a gimbal).
