I was a military kid living in Germany at the age of 15-16 when I got to play this. It's positively moving to see covers of it being done so recently. Fantastic work, by the way. You've nailed the ambience perfectly.
Loved how Isle of the damned transformed into something more mystical when you started to ad your spin. Nice use of Time's Scar melody too at that one point, I think it's pretty cool when some tracks in a game's OST has little phrases from other tracks.

I've found that with chords on each beat of a 4/4, you can do 1,3,2,4 pattern, removing one in-between, and that removal can add a lot. Similarly, the ukulele part could even be the first two and last two notes of that riff, and it could still feel as epic but with the breath and existential kinda distance/elegy vibes that Mitsuda worked so beautifully! Fewer notes can make them feel bigger, basically?
I'm definitely down to hear how others might find the opposite true! Experimenting is a big part of what i love about covers

I was stuck playing Cyberpunk 2077 and Ghost of Tsushima Legends but I'll get around to playing it soon enough, it was not so long ago that I played it on an emulator so I'm in no rush. Btw if you ever get to try Chorus it's the game I worked on

I've never played this game.. I know the iconic themes. Did I just hear the main motif of this game at the end of this theme? Is it normally in game or did you add it in yourself? Amazing work I love your stuff.
