- This spring my Japanese language school gave us ten days off for Golden Week. During the break, I traveled to Yokohama where I stayed with a very friendly homestay family. I had a great time visiting local parks, eating delicious food, and making some new friends, all in Japanese.
Join me for a look back on my Golden Week adventures while I share some of the things I've enjoyed most about studying Japanese in Japan, compared to back in the states. Whether you're here for the language learning ideas or to enjoy the chill vibes, I hope this film brings a smile to your day, and I look forward to seeing you next time!

You must try the ramen of Yoshimuraya near the Yokohama station or Iekei(家系)-ramen present anywhere.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings! I lived in Tokyo for a year to learn Japanese and it was a priceless experience. All the best for your language journey!
Great video. I'm 43 and find this information to be very useful. Thanks.
I would be interested in watching stuff even if it's about pretty mundane aspects of your life as a mature age language student in Japan, such as transport, expenses, visa's, social interactions, shopping, going to the gym, setting up homestays, etc.
Anyway thanks again. Good stuff.
Just found your channel randomly and just subscribed ❤ your awesome
i just subbed to your channel cuz this vid took my heart. thank you for this vid and please keep dropping video!
Sir! Yokohama is an amazing area! I’d be happy to collaborate next time you visit :)
May I ask what language school you go to?
Can you share what Homestead program you used and average cost of daily living?
Hi there! The company is called Homestay in Japan and I connected with them through Go! Go! Nihon. It looks like Homestay in Japan has a way to contact them directly through their website, so that's probably the best way to find out what the cost would be for your specific situation and needs 👌🏻
@@josh_around Thanks for providing this resource! That was a very informative site with options I didn't even know existed!
I hope you get interview takashi from Japan
