After reaching at Bagdogra Airport OR NJP railway station, you can hire a car up to Mahaldiram which costs around Rs.3500/- to Rs.4000/- . OR you can reach by share car as well. Hire a share cab for Darjeeling and get down at Dilaram. Then hire a reserve car up to homestay for Rs. 800-1000/-

The Salamander Jungle Camp is the best place to stay at Mahaldiram. Salamander Jungle Camp is located atop tea gardens on the outskirts of Mahaldiram's valleys. Salamander Jungle Camp provides wonderful accommodations for tourists. The accommodations and balcony of Salamander Jungle Camp have breathtaking views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Salamander Jungle Camp's rooms are totally timber furnished and well equipped with all of the essential facilities available in the area. Salamander Jungle Camp's meals are all organic. Local and continental cuisines are available.
The Mahaldiram Salamander Jungle Camp is located at a place known as Hawa Dara (‘hawa’ means wind and ‘dara’ means mountain). Salamander Jungle Camp at Mahaldiram is a lovely homestay at Mahaldiram which offers a total of 6 rooms. An excellent view from the rooms are available. From here, you can see the Chatakpur hills, Latpanchar, Sittong, and the SIliguri plains. On a clear day, the Kanchenjunga Mountains, Nathula Pass, and Sikkim may also be viewed from the homestay's terrace.

The hotel cost Rs 1700 per person per day. This includes staying as well as eating (breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner). The rooms are comfortable. The cuisine is hearty and excellent. We had delicious Bengali food for lunch, aloo paratha for breakfast, and chicken and rice for dinner.

আজ আমি প্রথম। ভিডিও দেখায় নয়। আমি এখানে আগেই গেছি। তখন কটেজ গুলো তৈরি হয় নি। আমরা অনেক জন ছিলাম। পুরোটাই বুকিং ছিল। সত্যি দারুণ জায়গা ।বাপিদাকে অনেক দিন পরে দেখে ভালো লাগলো। তবে ওনারকে নিয়ে প্রবলেম আছে। সেটা এখানে নাই বা বললাম। ভালো থাকবেন।

প্রকাশ্যেই বলছি। কারণ এটা অনেকর সাথেই হয়েছে। প্রথমত উনি ফোন ধরেন না। ধরলেও বলেন what's app করতে। এরপর তার উত্তর দেন না। প্রথমেই অ্যাডভান্স পাঠাতে বলেন। বাইচান্স কেউ যদি পাঠিয়ে দেয় তার আর কোনো ভাবে ক্যানসেল হয় না বা পয়সা ফেরত হয় না। বস্তুত advance পাঠানোর পর আর কোনো ফোন উনি ধরেন না। এক বছরের মধ্যে দ্বিতীয় বার যাব বলে যোগাযোগ করতে সেই একই ব্যাপার দেখতে পেয়ে বুকিং না করে ক্যানসেল করে দিঈ। আপনি ফেসবুকে সার্চ করলে বিভিন্ন লোকের কমেন্টে এই একই জিনিস দেখতে পাবেন।

লুঙচু র অভিজ্ঞতা সরাসরি ব্লগে দেখিয়েছি। তাই দেখে ওনার আবার সব ঠিক করে মাস খানেক বাদে ছবি whatsapp করলেন। 😊 ভাল লাগলো বিশ্বাস করুন। আমার ভিডিওর জন্য কিনা জানি না, জিনিস গুলো ঠিক তো করলেন। অথচ্ বেশ কিছু মানুষের বাজে অভিজ্ঞতা আছে সেখানে।
আসলে onspot কার কি ধরণের অভিজ্ঞতা হয় বা হচ্ছে সেটা যে সবার জন্য সেম নয় সেটা আমি আপনি বুঝি। 😊
অনেক নামি হোম স্টে তে গিয়ে বাজে অভিজ্ঞতা আবার বদনাম শুনেও ভালো অভিজ্ঞতা এগুলো হয়েই থাকে। এগুলোই তো পার্ট অভিজ্ঞতার। সান্দকফু তে একটাই নামি হোম স্টে আছে। প্রচুর তার নাম। আবার বদনাম ও প্রচুর। সেটা ধরে নিয়েই যেতে হবে কেননা শুধু ওই লোকেশনটির জন্য। আমি একসময় তুলে ধরবো সে গল্প। দেখবেন। আপনার মত মানুষ দাদা যারা প্রচুর বেড়ান, আপনাদের মত মানুষের তো অভিজ্ঞতার ভান্ডার প্রচুর। আপনারা জানেন সব কিছুই তবুও আলোচনার জন্যই বললাম।
আসলে এমন কিছু জায়গা থাকে সেগুলোর কিছু নেগেটিভ দিক গুলো জেনেও যেন যেতেই হয়। 😊
তবে আমার অভিজ্ঞতা খারাপ হয়নি। আরো একটু রিসার্চ করা যেতেই পারে। তবে রিসেন্টলি আমার অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে বলছি, মানুষের বেড়ানোর মোটিভ কিন্তু পাল্টেছে। টেস্ট পাল্টেছে। সেসব গল্প দেখাবো খুব শিগগির। আপনি তো একজন আমার নিয়মিত ভিউয়ার্স দেখবেন।
যাই হোক অনেক কথা হল। পাশে থাকবেন এইভাবেই আগামীতে। আসছে অনেক কিছুই। নিজের মত করেই তুলে ধরবো। ভালো খারাপ এর অভিজ্ঞতা তো আপনারা বেড়িয়ে এসে জানাবেন। আমিও জানবো। জানছি প্রতি মুহূর্তে। আশীর্বাদ করবেন সফরের উড়ান যেন এভাবেই চলে।
