I just bought a 2021 ES 300h with ultra luxury trim last month, and absolutely love it. Regarding a couple of your dislikes, which surprised me after driving my Lexus for a little over a month now, I always rest my right arm on the center padded console and find it very comfortable. I don't rest my elbow on it so maybe that is why you are finding not enough padding and I haven't noticed the discomfort you mentioned. The other thing is about a digital rear view mirrow. I test drove a Toyota Rav4 Prime before I purchased my ES 300h, and it had a digital mirror, which just made me dizzy, and I turned it back to a regular mirror. I HATED it!. It might be very useful in a SUV where you have packed the rear cargo area with so much luggage or whatever and cannot see out the rear window, but other than that I would not opt for the digital mirror in a sedan like the ES 300h if given a choice, just my preference after having tried it out. I gangster lean on that armrest all the time with no issues.That particular cup holder is Huge and adjustable and you are complaining that it has no cover like most all other vehicles or that it has no messaging seats like most all other cars in that price range with a few exceptions however a man likes what he likes.
NOT JUST a Digital Rearview Mirror but one that RECORDS BOTH Front and Back onto a 128Gb MicroSD card!!! I'm currently using a VanTop 4K digital rearview mirror and have been for the last 3 years and ALL my Uber/Lyft passengers LOVE IT!!! It's a wonder why they don't put these in all vehicles today!?!?
I agree with the massage seats, I would like them in my 2022 Es350. About the cupholder, what I don't like is that it's not good holding beer cans or sodas, they dance around since it's too wide.

I don’t know what’s included in each trim off the top of my head. Just go to Lexus’ website and build an ES for yourself. You should be able to see what’s included as standard or with each package!

i love the ES and i wouldn’t get another car. but in this newer update with the facelift and whatnot, i don’t like the 8-speed transmission. it feels like it’s always shifting. i wish they stuck with the same 6-speed like in my 2015 ES. better gas mileage i suppose?
I really liked the transmission in the new ES! This was the hybrid. I don’t know if they updated it from the last Gen or not but regardless, I thought it was perfect and the gas mileage is amazing! 🙂

There are two things I dislike about my 2019 ES Ultra Lux - 1. getting into it - very low roofline. 2. getting out of it - very low roofline.

The seating position/ visibility is not good in this car. I love the exterior design.
