    Just realizing I called Ryan Leonard a centerman, indirectly by mentioning three centres 🙄 I meant in general with Montreal's young forward core, apologies!

    I was mad at first, but after sinking it for a few minutes, i started to like the pick. Kent Hughes knows more than we do, and we have to see the bigger picture. Reinbacher is like Seider and Nemac, and they are both RHD who are taken early, and they are very valuable in today's NHL. We all want superstars, but Bedard is in a class of his own and we dont know much about Michkov. I know Reinbacher is not a sexy pick, but the blueline is stacked on both sides and defense wins championships. How many cups has Mcdavid and Matthews won? Their respected teams have weak D and questionable goaltending. Now the Habs are stacked on Goaltending and Defense

    • @RobertGreeley
      @RobertGreeley  Před 11 měsíci

      I think when you look at the last cup winners it really shows how important good-d is, with a solid relatively affordable goaltending so you can spend money in other places!

    • @anthonytiramani-ct3tt
      @anthonytiramani-ct3tt Před 11 měsíci

      Stacked at goaltending ?!
      Allen will not be here next year and the other young goalies havent played in NHL
      Hopefully, Monty becomes a solid no1 goalie.. if so, then your statement is good.

      The Habs Drafted 7 goalies in the past 5 drafts. 3 of them this year. Fowler looks good and promising.Dobes look more than ready to start and could play in Laval this year. He'll make you forget about Primeau if he plays well.

    Since the salary cap was introduced 17 seasons ago, only 2 team managed to win a cup without a top d man that was drafted in the top 5 or that had a hall of famer career, the 1st team to do it was actually the first year in 05-06 and that was the canes since then only washington did it and they had the 2nd best goal scorer in the history of the sports... and he only won one ... boston had chara, chicago keith and seabrook, pitts letang, detroit lidstrom, the ducks neidermayer and pronger... the list goes on...

    • @RobertGreeley

      @tylerlussier1896 Před 11 měsíci +2

      I’m sorry I don’t mean to sound like an asshole…. Have you guys took the time to look at any of Reinbacher’s analytics, PPG, Projections??? David Reinbacher has a better Points Per Game then Heiskanen, Josi and Seider…. Heiskanen had a 0.27PPG. Josi had a 0.23PPG. Seider had a 0.21PPG…. Everyone said all 3 of those defenders wouldn’t be superstars when they were drafted. DAVID REINBACHER playing against men had a 0.48 POINTS PER GAME!!! 😂😂😂 the only 2 defenders to have better points per games in their draft year was Victor Hedman and Rasmus Dahlin and they both had a 0.49 points per game…. Reinbacher basically had the same Points per game as Dahlin and Hedman and was FARR AHEAD of Heiskanen, Josi and Seider…. David Reinbacher is also one of the best defenders since Hedman that I have ever seen when it comes to closing the distance on a player while defending a rush. Reinbacher is by far the best defender from the 2023 draft by a mile! I actually find it absolutely ridiculous that we think he’s only gonna be “Solid” this fucking kid Is Fast, Skilled, Intelligent, physical he’s literally everything you would want from a top pairing defender…. There was a scout on the Sick Podcast the other night that said Reinbacher is wayyy better then Simon Nemec and David Jiricek… he also goes on to say that Reinbacher is in the company of Hedman and Dahlin… from everything I have seen about Reinbacher and all the scouting videos I have seen on him Reinbacher in my opinion WILLL BE! A superstar defender in the NHL alongside Hutson, Soooo much to the point where Montreal may not even be able to afford to keep Hutson or Reinbacher, He will be so good that he may play his way out of Montreal… obviously you guys can have your opinions and I’m not here to change them lol but thinking that this kid is going to be “solid” and not a Star/Superstar defender is kinda mind boggling to me 😂😂😂 this kid will put up 55-80 points in the NHL… when he is in his prime he will be close to Dahlin if not just as good….

    • @RobertGreeley
      @RobertGreeley  Před 11 měsíci

      @tylerlussier1896 I was just making the joke that nobody in this class is an NHL superstar yet because they haven't even played a game lolol. I did in fact make a video defending the pick so yes, I think Reinbacher was the right choice lolol I will say though there's nothing wrong with being "solid" because theoretically the "superstar" term shouldn't be thrown around as often as we do!
