I'm sure you guys got this, but skips point about locking down sexton in the 4th, was that the nets viewed this game as a tune up game, and were allowing the Cavs to play so well in the 1st through 3rd quarters...before deciding to win and lock down the nets and sexton in the 4th.
That said, I'm still calling BS on skips line of reasoning.
Historically, a team playing a tune up game is perfectly fine taking the L and they play their starters sparingly....not career minutes in 2 overtimes. Like a preseason game, or when someone is coming back from an injury.
I think skip needs to admit that while this IS only one game....it exposes the potential fatal flaw of a super team: 3 studs and a bunch of non factors. (Nonfactors are still elite. Just playing in the nba makes you elite)
To me, this particular super team is constructed more poorly than others. Kyrie and harden are redundant and they have no big inside presence and their defense is particularly poor.
All of them are 30+ or damn near close, with alot of nba miles on each of them. I don't see them all finishing healthy or being able to easily overcome Philly or maybe miami or boston (especially if they make moves themselves)
And I don't think they're beating whomever comes out of the west
Sure, we'll see them win alot of regular season games, they have to much offense to not, but the playoffs will be tough.

All the Cavs have to do is basically stay .500 or more the rest of the way with over a month and a half of the season left and they can get into the playoffs. Plus, Sexton has had some great games this year but since he plays for the Cavs nobody talks about it.
