The AFP especially the spec ops units (SR, SF, LRR, Marine Recon etc...) are taught pekiti tirsia kali, no need for krav maga. Eskrima-kali-arnis will suffice for the need of edged and impact weapons proficiency. There's plenty of testimonials and combat stories from our veterans from WW2 on how they used mere bolos to neutralize the enemies (there's even a bolo unit). The SR and marines have countless similar accounts as well on how they survived jungle warfare with either a knife or guinunting. There are real life mananabas in the AFP. The lone survivor of the SAF 44 debacle used a knife which allowed him to extract from the hostile area (just to give an example). The art has proven itself time and again.

Magdala din sila cguro ng bows and arrows (in case mag-upgrade din mga Red Chinese). Wag lang sana tyo maging reactive, and plan ahead of time and be pro-active. 😊❤
