James Leadbitter aka the vacuum cleaner chats about his performances, films and interventions -- examining consumerism, environmental activism, mental distress, institutionalisation, and how we can hope for better things. James is an art and activism collective of one, creating projects that range from one-man shows to large scale participatory actions.
'A Conversation With...' is a series of interviews that interrogates artistic practice, identity and representation for socially-engaged disabled, neurodiverse and/or Deaf artists. The commission is a collaboration between artists Lisa Mattocks and Sandra Alland.
