I kinda feel the same man, I get you. On one hand I just want it to be preserved so it doesn't get used but on the other hand what use is it then? Of course if you don't seek to sell for profit in 10 years that is.

nintendo should also make a special edition theme for their OS , it would greatly impact the users to buy a special edition
Definitely. One thing the Switch desperately needs is a theme system. I think we will see the new Nintendo hardware before they even add this to the console. A pity given how awesome the 3DS themes were.

The dock really is the coolest part honestly. Would have been nice to see just a touch of gold on the switch itself. Like 3 gold circles

@@GLITCHEDZA Oooo thank you. The autofocus seems to look very good. The problem with my 13 pro max is that I have to constantly tap to re focus. That and the shallow depth of field makes it hard for an entire object to be in focus as it wants to have only the sticks in focus or only the buttons, not the whole object.
@@switchunboxing I use the Filmic Pro app. It has changed everything. You get access to the manual focus and with a good understanding of the lens zooms and how they focus, you can pull off some cool stuff. The stock app is horrible on its own. You need to get a pro app to unlock all the real features on the iPhone. A lot of my previous video work was done on the 13 Pro Max last year. Same app. Definitely check it out if you want more control over your shots.
@@GLITCHEDZA Thank you I will have to check that out! Because my workflow is absolutely atrocious due to having to take so many shots and record everything separate and piece it together so I can get everything in focus. I was thinking though the shallow depth of field is just due to the f1.5 and can’t be changed. I don’t know if you had the same issue that I have, but, for example, if I am recording a controller, it just can’t seem to have the entire thing in focus. It will have like the face buttons in focus with a blurry control stick, or control, stick and focus with blurry face buttons. So when I’m recording, I have to move the controller around and keep tapping the screen to focus and I have to just keep moving around until I get everything in perfect shot. Then in the editing software, if I don’t have a good video shot, I will go frame by frame and find the best still shot and use that. It’s such a hassle.
Then you have the effect, where for example, if I am holding the box, and it’s in focus, if I move the box, so you’re looking at the Nintendo logo, the box is taller that direction, so that means the box is now closer to the screen - which makes it blurry. Currently, I can’t just look at the box and then move it around and have it continue to be in focus. I thought that just meant we had a sub par auto focus. I will have to try the app first. I don’t think it’s manual. Focus that I’m wanting? I think I just need a better auto focus. That way everything is always in focus.
@@GLITCHEDZA Looks like I already have the app downloaded. I guess I never used it because it’s super sketchy. They want to charge you every week or month. And it was showing $10/week which was unbelievable but now looking at it again I see they have a version for $3/mo. But that whole thing just pisses me off. Might be worth it though
IT looks ok but wih the Dock had been a different color, I mean I own the white version onyl because I hate the Neon joy cons, wish they would give us more colors.

It's still buyable everywhere, every major distrubtor and even nintendo store itself seem to have it in stock so sales weren't as high I guess. But I can't seem to get a glimpse on that pro controller which I so badly desire :D
@@MuxMaxmou It's still buyable because they delayed the game. They had the consoles ready since like July last year. They just kept making more consoles. Not to mention the fact that most people that really wanted a switch, already have one. Course that didn't stop me from buying this one. Gotta love that gold and white.
I think Nintendo massed produce these as a final Hurray so everybody in there mother's name can own one because their next console comes out next year. This is the switch last year on the market so they are trying to get rid of much stock as they can before the next console drops.

Has anyone noticed the difference in the construction of this model? this model is lighter than the normal OLED model, and I don't think they used aluminum here (kickstand and front in old OLED is made from Aluminium)

@@Kuromichi08 Okay so I checked it and it is identical in design. It is 2g heavier which is likely due to some of the decal paint on the back but it is also aluminium and the kickstand is the same material as the old OLED.

That would screw people who bought it physically though or want the collectors edition plus it would put this whole thing over $400. So really I think the flexibility is way better.

@@maxumos_prime Everybody says that every year. So at some point somebody's prediction will come true, obviously. However, why would this be the last OLED? Also an announcement this year doesn't mean it will release this year. Nintendo are still releasing V2 as the recent Mario themed switch shows. So you think 6 different OLED models is where it ends now? No chance.
@@itsgettingstrangeroutthere I get what you’re saying. I just personally think it might be the last given this is Nintendo’s last blockbuster game on the Switch (that we know of). Unless they announce a new big game with reason for another OLED special edition. It doesn’t seem likely given it’s current lineup. But we never know.
@@TheCocomello I doubt they will announce it this year. I'm no pro in marketing but it seems obvious that if they'd announce it anywhere near from now, lets say in Summer '23 this means sales for switches in holiday season will be rather low since people will wait for the more powerful console. Because if they'd announce it this year, they probably wont be able to ship them in winter (if like I said above they announce it in Summer).
So in conclusion I guess it'll be announced like february next year after they cash out on winter sales for the switch.

I also got the system today. Everything seems fine, but I‘m shocked how bad the resolution of the screen is. I had the Switch Lite before and its screen definitely looks more crisp.
It's the exact same resolution but the bigger screen means the pixels are a little bigger. Honestly though the oled screen still destroys the old screen in color and contrast. The pixel difference isn't even really noticeable to the eyes honestly though.
@@davidalvarado9957 Yeah I know, but still I think 720p is not good enough. My iPhone has a way smaller screen and has a 1440p panel. It's definitely noticeable, especially whenn you have 1440p screens all around you.
@Schantinga trust me I know. I have an s23 ultra so I definitely know how good the screens could look but I just disagree that it's noticeable compared to the lite which is what you were originally comparing it to. Not to your iPhone.
What are u talking about? U must have a broken switch. The switch lite screen doesn't look anywhere near better than the oled screen.
@@redcrimson1028 No, I have not. As David has explained, the pixels are bigger, which is the reason why the screen looks more washed out. The screen of the Switch Lite definitely looks sharper than that of the OLED model.
It‘s the same with the 3DS and 3DS XL: Since the resolution of the 3DS XL has the same resolution as the og 3DS, the picture on the larger models seem more washed out.
It‘s like you take a picture with your smartphone camera and zoom in afterwards. The quality will get worse as you zoom in.
