Follow Padam with something a bit edgy again and so Padam basically made "Tension" a single. This AMAZING "traditional" Kylie ANTHEM will now get it's chance as single #3 it looks like! I am absolutely blown away just having listened to this for the first time.
It is truly amazing what she is doing now with this new album after years in the USA of getting no airplay. Now she is back on the radio quite a bit for the first time in almost 10 years.
This song is charting higher than Tension on Canada's iTunes last I checked. #32 while Tension is at #75. This song is gonna be a massive hit when released as a single since it seems to already be a hit.

I always felt like Kylie was too sweet for Americans. Y'all only like Pop Singers if they are bitchy and "fierce", like Madonna and Gaga. Kylie has never said a bad word against anyone and never gets political....but Americans seem to like their Pop Singers to be controversial and "beefing" with other diva's...
It's that but also the fact she just hasn't spent enough time over there on building a proper career hence the lack of proper tours. She and her record companies never tried hard enough. Can't Get You Out Of My Head took off in America in the March of 2002, six months behind the rest of the world, and again she only started to promote X and nearly every album since nany months after their release dates in America with a few TV shows here and there so there was always a lack of radioplay around the album releases... only until now with Tension has she and her label changed strategy and spent time in America before the album came out but it hasn't paid off sadly. Padam didn't dent the Top 100 and Tension peaked at #21.

I was introduced to her the same way! Of course I knew CGYOOMH but only the song. "Say Something" popped up on my Release Radar as a random pick and I ended up loving the song and then DISCO and the rest of her discography. Here now for Tension & waiting on a vinyl boxset for the album like I was able to get for DISCO :)
