But giving the reported size of the piece, I decided to check out CZcams videos to see if someone would advise against this or not. It was a long shot but you actually not only answered that question, but you also reiterated it multiple times in the video which made the point loud and clear for me. My basement won't be the best place for me to assemble it due to comfort/ergonomics but I took your advise to heart on this one. Thanks. Subscribed!
I got my Ecto and for your lights that are not rotating...the silver part in the middle is the motor with a single gear in the middle. Mine didn't rotate and i slightly pried it up away from the light bar and it engaged the lights. Try that and it should work. Plus i lightly sprayed my light bar gears with teflon lube which quieted them a lot plus i offset their rotation for more realistic look as they rotate!

Yes....I took mine completely off and there rotating lights have non motorized gears that i rotated out of sync. The silver middle does all the work. I just reglued the silver part back on after that but i lightly sprayed teflon lube on the gears

Try giving your front light bar a few good slaps. My rear light bar wasn’t spinning at first, but it seems it needed a couple good knocks to get it going. It’s been working perfectly since. Such an AWESOME piece. Totally worth every penny. Enjoy!

Beautiful miniature, the problem is that the originally white plastic solid with the passage of time exposed to natural or artificial light, it turns yellowish.
I’ve seen 1/6 scale models before I’ve seen a Ferrari and that cost around $30,000 due to the fact that it was metal and the detail to it and that it was built by a prestigious model building company as well as a limited production number. As a matter fact I remember seeing that also on Jay Leno‘s garage once i’m not that one that you have by that company but by a different model company. It’s up on CZcams

We did fix the turning lights. One of our viewers had the same issue and a few gentle taps must have knocked away some flashing or something and it's worked fine ever since. Luckily we didn't even come close to paying 4k but we had to wait years to get it. I did see that they are going for that much now, ouch. It is a beast, it barely fits in the shelf we put it in. Considering the model. It would have been a cool thing if the maker has snuck in a voice recording to the small phone of the four characters saying something just as a surprise to some lucky buyer. Cool model though.

Is there a vinyl sticker covering the two curvy rear tail light sections? Near the silver tail light trim. They originally mistakenly left the section White and corrected it with a red sticker. I'd rather them just leaving it White since the vinyl sticker might peel in the future. All that beautiful detail and someone put the front license plate on crooked.

The inner box was fine and the process to return without opening after waiting so long was not something we were willing to do. We could've returned it if we opened it and found issues. As it is now everything works including the lights. There must have be some flashing on the gears from the molding process that was preventing the rotation. They work totally fine now.
Its such a nice looking model, but the issues would just bug me too much. Some of the design decisions are just stupid. Even Playmobil could get the light bars right and their ‘toy’ cost $30.

Blitzway should also have 1/6 scale action figures of Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Winston Zeddemore made to look like how they had appeared of Ghostbusters: Afterlife in the likenesses of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson in their old age to display with the old, beat-up ECTO-1.

We haven't been able to find him or Slimer from Blitzway on the secondary market for a reasonable price so we are hoping Blitzway will do a re-release in the future. We fixed it there must have been a piece of flashing in the gears. We had one of our audience that had the same issue and said he just tapped it a little to get it to start. Tried it and it has not been a problem ever again. Thanks for watching!
Very good review ,hope you get the lights stored out, I am very concerned about delivery damage, in particular my one has to travel to UK with over $500 delivery and tax payment I would expect a premium service and no damage on delivery.
The shipping box was trashed but the inner box was fine. This one had to travel across the US from the West coast to the East coast by ground so you're vehicle may not have to go through as much handling as ours did. Thank you for taking the time to watch we really appreciate it!

I don’t understand why they would have Lights that are supposed to be ON Steady FLASH! And Lights that are supposed to Flash be ON STEADY… Drives me absolutely nuts, all that work in the detail to fuck that up.. 🤣
The sound of those servos spinning the blue lights sounds like they’re not gonna last long. Very cheaply made toy considering you probably spent a couple grand on it.
Not even close to that amount the rerelease is going for a whole lot more expensive now. I expect it's the plastic gears that are so loud we have a lot of 1/16 military tanks and the metal geared versions are much quieter. Thanks for watching!

I like it but not enough to pay $2,700 for it, yet alone figure out where to put such and unwieldly item! I'll settle for the 1:18 Hotwheels Elite Ecto 1 and Hasbro Plasma Series Ecto 1.
We had it on order for at least 2 years before it even shipped so it's hard to remember. We were starting to doubt it was ever going to come out at one point. It was kind of the same thing with the life size wall mount Slimer we have on the station that was about 3 years if I remember right. Thank you for tuning in!

Its such a nice looking model, but the issues would just bug me too much. Some of the design decisions are just stupid. Even Playmobil could get the light bars right and their ‘toy’ cost $30.

Blitzway should also have 1/6 scale action figures of Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Winston Zeddemore made to look like how they had appeared of Ghostbusters: Afterlife in the likenesses of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson in their old age to display with the old, beat-up ECTO-1.

You have to use a USB cable and power block you do need the sounds you want on a Memory card though.

The place I got them from didn't have him in stock and now he is so darn expensive on the secondary market we can't touch him. I'm hoping another company does a set so we can pick him up. We only have him in a pop figure right now.☹️

We haven't been able to find him or Slimer from Blitzway on the secondary market for a reasonable price so we are hoping Blitzway will do a re-release in the future. Why don't the front light bar spin like the back?
We fixed it there must have been a piece of flashing in the gears. We had one of our audience that had the same issue and said he just tapped it a little to get it to start. Tried it and it has not been a problem ever again. Thanks for watching!

Very good review ,hope you get the lights stored out, I am very concerned about delivery damage, in particular my one has to travel to UK with over $500 delivery and tax payment I would expect a premium service and no damage on delivery.
The shipping box was trashed but the inner box was fine. This one had to travel across the US from the West coast to the East coast by ground so you're vehicle may not have to go through as much handling as ours did. Thank you for taking the time to watch we really appreciate it!

It didn't when we ordered it but with the way the secondary market is they do now. That's why we haven't been able to get a Winston or Slimer from this line. Hopefully they will remake them or someone like Hot Toys or Sideshow gets the license to make them in this scale. Thank you for watching!

Very cheaply made toy considering you probably spent a couple grand on it.
Not even close to that amount the rerelease is going for a whole lot more expensive now. I expect it's the plastic gears that are so loud we have a lot of 1/16 military tanks and the metal geared versions are much quieter. Thanks for watching!

They came in a multi-pack and the place I got them didn't have that pack now Winston and Slimer are priced so crazy on the secondary market it's crazy. Only hope is a rerelease or Hot Toys making them. We did unbox a stylized version of Slimer on the station that is close to that size. Thanks for watching!

I like it but not enough to pay $2,700 for it, yet alone figure out where to put such and unwieldly item! I'll settle for the 1:18 Hotwheels Elite Ecto 1 and Hasbro Plasma Series Ecto 1.

We had it on order for at least 2 years before it even shipped so it's hard to remember. We were starting to doubt it was ever going to come out at one point. It was kind of the same thing with the life size wall mount Slimer we have on the station that was about 3 years if I remember right. Thank you for tuning in!
