As an English language student I have studied these grime artists for years, all of them, and in the past 4-5 years the talent has spread out and improved massively. Fredo and Nines are obvious names to mention in this regard. But the foundation stones for this music scene, that is integral to our generation, and as such will be mentioned in our national history books, was laid in a big part by this guy and this video. The best freestyle in terms of English language technique and poetry was probably K Kokes FITB, and the best individual bar Ive heard so far has to be Nines' Crib Session 'whippin white, slavery in reverse'. This is an academic view point, a scholars outlook on the use of words. Of course it's all opinion in terms of what you like personally, so if anyone wants to challenge my view, please go ahead!
