Rain fell and cameras clicked as a military honor guard carried the casket of the late Rev. Billy Graham from the U.S. Capitol to a waiting hearse outside.
Plans for the Rev. Billy Graham's funeral on Friday began about a decade ago with the evangelist himself.
Graham family spokesman Mark DeMoss said that "America's Pastor" began selecting songs, musicians and speakers for the service in the years after his public appearances dwindled. Graham died last week at age 99.
To the family, the service will be much like the crusades Graham used to reach millions during his lifetime. The funeral is invitation-only but will be broadcast on the Internet.

Amen We will all cast our crowns before Jesus Christ . If we do thanks for the Lord But if we get other things That were not good we will lose all reward but we'll be in heaven the ones that accepted Jesus Christ as savior.
I feel sorry for the ones that did not accept Jesus Christ has their savior because the devil is their father. But my father is Jesus Christ. He saved my soul 2 days ago. The destruction of my country was eating me alive and I have been so upset. Out of a huge stack of newspapers a page fell open to his column in which he said "God wants us to have joy even when there is a bad mess around us". Thank you Mister Graham. I know you are keeping good company with God.

I remember seeing him at a crusade when I was 11. I got to shake his hand he was such a warm, loving human being. I was struck by his presence when I met him. I found out later him and my dad were the same height 6'3" but to see him in person he was like a giant man of God.

Hello everyone.. I am convinced billy graham. He was one of those men who were destitute and had good values..that is the king of man who makes jesus christ smile.a man with courage and determination to tell the truth and to live with dignity and respect.

I am not so sure, he preached against gay people ... a Christian should not do that, he hurt many and with his preaching encouraged parents to turn their backs on their gay children. I can never forgive him for that....

The Lord Jesus Christ saved me . I accept it Jesus Christ as my personal favorite and I have an assurance of my salvation when I die or the rapture happens whichever comes 1st.
