My gosh oh mighty that mug is AMAAAAAAZING!! Wow!! That has to be one of my favorite mugs of all time! I am definitely going to try that combo. I soo love that your made the pieces for your mom! Of course she’s going to love them. How sweet. GREAT kiln opening.
what a lovely pieces again...i want to do the basket thing too....but in a small scale...i have seen other crochet a rim with thread...can also be nice.....luvvvvvvv the mug...and for Tracy...get well soon...take care
Thankyou Nat, really appreciate the shout out😊, some gorgeous pieces, love your flat base! Would love to see the finished basket❤ I think the blue hydrangea one maybe needed more heat and more oatmeal, but can't understand how you can still see the clay under all those layers, still looks beautiful though and the shape is gorgeous ❤
@ceramicsbyjulia8552 yes I’m perplexed by the clay peeping through too! Thankyou for your blue/green combo inspirations I need them!! Too much pink lol. I’m going to do a short of the baskets once mum has made them. Thankyou for watching xx
Fantastic kiln opening again, Nat! I have been meaning to try that Jungle Gem trick. Will definitely do it now. Yours turned out so BEAUTIFUL! I am not sure about the mixing clear problem since I don't use it...yet, but I use a zinc free clear on all of my underglaze work. Thanks for your shares once again. ❤
I looked for the by me a coffee link. Could not find it. I remember Sara Amos doing basket bottoms. She had quite a bit of issue with cacking at the holes. Ypurs looked great. Love the cup idea with jungle gems
Milky could be fixed if you fire it higher. Or where the detail is just have a brush in hand and quickly brush out the detail so it can’t sit too thick.
Hi Nat! I am sooo behind on watching videos! LOVE that Jungle Jems mug..have always been intrigued by those glazes, now I'll have to try some lol. That re-ignited my glaze addiction! Fun kiln opening! And I love the way the petals look on the first piece you pulled out, I think you said it was the clear? but it adds a lot of color variation :) I see what you mean on the duck but it works on the flower. Cool blue jeans mold! wow, fun what they can do with molds! Great color choice!
@@mudmagic407 awww! No, not yet!! You’re so cute 🥰 . I’m at work yet again! I’ll watch it tonight when I get home..at midnight lol. Tomorrow is my birthday so I have a few days off to catch up on things👌👏
Excellent job on the commission piece. I'm certain the person who requested this will be extremely happy with it. Please can you tell me where the markets you sell at are??? Do you underglaze bisque piece then glaze in one firing. Or underglaze, bisque again then glaze and refire. I'm no expert but maybe that may help with the clear glaze result. Take care and keep your hands muddy.
@@mudmagic407 Umina Beach ⛱. I gather you live close by. What a beautiful part of the east coast. Good luck with your next market stall. Me, being a nosey parker-how long have you been playing with clay?? Love the name of your kiln. I've called mine Cedric- Cress, Kiln. The first thing that came to mind. Keep them hands dirty. Ciao
Wow how many classes before you could centre pull up and make a bowl, cup. I tried a couple of times and it was a complete capital F for fail. I need a few more classes. Just too pricey for me atm. Well done gal... Ciao
Thank you for the jungle gem firing ideas; will be trying 🙂 and your jungle gem mug is beautiful.

Thankyou so much! Yeah it’s the Amaco Sahara zf clear just the dipping form not brushing.
@mudmagic407 Oh, so it is zinc free clear! Ya, then I don't know. Wish I could be more help!
That gorgeous mug matches your mermaid tattoo!

#64 it will be nice bday present for u I hope! Happy birthday xx
Hi there.
The mushroom tree stump may have had something in the mold if it’s the first cast causing the UG to peel. Also, I reckon it’s a money box.
Oh u r probably right on both counts. Thankyou!! Yes it was the first casting xx
Try Mayco SW001 clear glaze
Guessing the mushroom log could be a bank with a coin slot added to top?
Oh good idea!!

Thankyou! Umina markets. Underglaze on greenware. It’s much more successful and easier to clean up.

@@evelynzinnauer348 I did a one day class then probably about a year of term classes.
May I ask what cone clay you used and the firing temperature? The results with jungle gems are delicious ❤
Thankyou so much! My clay is keanes midfire 6 white clay xx
What dipping clear do you use? I have been having problems with my clear recently. 🤔🧐
Amaco Sahara zinc free
PS please tell me, what is the clear you used on your custom piece
Amaco Sahara zf clear
I just paused because I thought my cat got out 😅
Hahaha too funny!!
