The show was accuarte to the dresses. However since it was Ukranian series,it had some catholic themes like Hurrem Sultan putting christ on one of her prince's birth or her mother being alive. Which none happened in real life. Valide Sultana actually did her best to asdure that Mahidevran Sultan and Hurrem Sultan to not fight. Hurrem Sultan got legally married only after Valide Sultana's death. But many things did get downhill after Valide Sultana's death,where the fights for the throne started.
Too bad that Ukrainians are Christian Orthodox, not Catholics.

What I really don't like about all this show that everyone shows Mahidevran as a pathetic looser and that Valide is favorisibg her. Can't just somebody make all this show a bit realistic

@@chandreyeechakrabortydhunu5276 it's not. Valide never cared about love life of Süleyman. She always tought thst Hürrem is good partner to him. Mahidevran knew that she is only one of many concubines.
To be fair, that was largely due to Mustafa. She did do her best to suppress the fighting between the two where it counted though I guess.
