How to make coconut burfi /Kashata

  • I'm a huge fan of kashata/ coconut burfi. I remember always sneaking out to buy some from a village nearby when I was a little girl. Heres how to make these tasty treats at home. If you love coconuts then you will go nuts for these! haha ok sorry hahaha couldnt help myself

    To make Kashata you will need:
    1 cup sugar
    1 1/4 cups water
    a little red food colour (optional)
    4 cardamom pods or 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
    2 cups desiccated coconut (you might need to add 1-2 tbsp if its too runny)

      Uh msa mabuyus are life man... There's one house near Azad ice cream, best mabuyus in the world man. The powder melts in the mouth, it's soft not hard or wet. So frikin amazing

    So I made these and I’m disappointed I think you misled with water quantity. Did everything on instructions but turned they won’t harden.soni went ahead and try another person’s method and I realized that you need one cup of water and not 1 1/4.
