As a nurse, it is essential to keep everything in it’s place. It may make the difference in a patient’s outcome. Ive carried this same philosophy to my home. I can get frustrated when things are not where they belong. It is such a waste of time searching for the misplaced object. I love your sessions and always look for Tiger and George.

Not only did you have suggestions I’ve not heard before, I really appreciated your encouragement and different reasons to let things go. Holding on to things has always been my biggest problem; but I listed your reasons too let go of unused or unpleasant items and you made some excellent points. It IS stressful to see my piles. It does waste time looking for stuff I know I have but can’t find. It wastes money when I have to buy things again that I know I have. It’s not worth it. I see that now. I’m going to try to declutter again now that I have new motivation. Thanks!

Hey ashley. Love your videos. I just finished organizing my pantry with the same bingenji are using and I was going to offer a suggestion which has really worked out well for me. On the teired shelves that have cans of vegetables when you look at them you can't tell what the vegetable is but if you organize the cans UPSIDE DOWN you can see a picture of the vegetable to know what it is! Works great!

I sooooooo agree with decluttering on a frequent basis because my sister is helping me declutter my house before I start chemo and I decluttered a lot when she was at my house but I noticed I was able to find quite a bit more from the same areas that I wanted to declutter over the couple weeks after she left.
I will say this for others that may have grown up in a similar way, as someone who grew up in a family of 5 and lived on less then 15k a year. It feels in a word, wasteful to get rid of things. On a regular basis because you may need it later and not have the money for it.
If you all so feel this way, it's ok.
I understand the feeling of living in fear of not having what you need.
Please value you're self to work on you're mental health. You are worth the investment. 💕🌻
I am in full Spring cleaning mode. Kitchen is all clean from top to bottom. Now I'm on to my bathroom which includes my walk-in closet. Always get motivation from your videos 💜💙💚💛🧡
I'm in the process of moving so I am going through things that I just need to update with for everything that I have! Love your ideas too! I think I will work on a declutter section a day or week planner and see how I did at the end of the year!

I cannot explain the weight I feel lifted off of me when I declutter. Decluttering regularly has GREATLY reduced the “inventory” of stuff that I have to manage. I’ve been very careful the past two years to carefully curate my stuff and limit what new items I bring in! Love your videos! So motivating!

I sorted out winter clothes today and made a large garbage bag full to give away. This is the first day. Plus a large trolley of things to return to shops mainly IKEA. This is just day one. Oh and I cleaned out the ovens and hob

I miss having "clothes swaps" with my girlfriends up north. It was so fun! We even started to incorporate small household items. My new area here down south is not into that. Great idea though for anyone wanting "new items" and hanging out with friends. ❤️

I love declutting! But it’s also important not to buy stuff just because you got rid of stuff. I have a friend that will declutter but then run to Walmart, Target or Ross and buy more stuff. I totally don’t get that. I’ve tried to explain to her the whole purpose of getting rid of stuff! Lol 😝

One of the things I learned from you that was stressing me out was color clutter. I inadvertently realized this in the laundry room and this little change helped me realize that clutter and competing colors were big stressors in my life. This is the impetus that made me clean up my act (pun intended 😀):
Laundry is one household chore I enjoy..I know, I'm in the minority 😄 so when we bought our new washer and dryer I went through the cabinets above them and decided I wanted everything to be labeled but in one color. I reused all empty white containers. My detergent, fabric softener, vinegar, spot cleaner and wrinkle releaser are in various empties I reused and look so cohesive and clean. On the shelf above them I used empty Clorox wipe containers for Borax, baking soda and Oxi clean, and a clear tray for color catcher sheets. Hidden behind are a bottle of isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide (in their original containers but with a locking spray attachment) and a can of cheap hairspray (great for removing ink stains). Sorry for the long comment but it was life changing. Thanks, Ashley, for all your inspiration! XXOO ❤️

have you thought about mounting your tv? Love your style! I love how you are have achieved the simplistic look with no patterns clashing with each other. I really enjoy decluttering! I imagine I am moving everything out the next day and only keep what I am currently using or will use within the next year haha!

Hi Ashley, thank you for the video. You always motivate me! I was wondering if you have any suggestions for organizing and storing your jewelry. I am having a hard time finding the proper organization method for my earrings, necklaces, etc. Thanks.
For necklaces, I use pretty shower hooks that I attach to my rods in the closet so they can hang from them. For earrings and other small pieces I use the clear acrylic drawers

I have been decluttering 1 room at a time. It's not so overwhelming that way. I got my hubby on board with the garage and after I realized there are things I just don't use or will ever wear, I ended up donating 8 garbage bags full of stuff! It feels like a weight has been lifted!

Isn't it crazy how we only wear the same things over and over. I don't have that many clothes, but I seem to wear just a few items all the time. I try to go through my clothes at the end of the season and get rid of those items I never wore. I love opening up the closet and seeing it all organized. Thanks for motivating me to get started.

Hi Cordegia, I’m so happy you’re here! It’s not near as bad as you would think. A handheld shampooer from Bissell or Hoover with some of their solution and water does the trick to deep clean. I use hot water and soap with a cloth for spot cleaning. But don’t have to clean as often as you would think.
