SNOW WHITE AND THE THREE STOOGES (1961) with Columbia sound effects/songs deleted

1961's SNOW WHITE AND THE THREE STOOGES was once called "technicolor mistake" by Stooge leader Moe Howard. Indeed, the 107-minute musical made for 20th Century Fox was short of Stooge screen time and antics and heavy on melodrama and songs. Not surprisingly, it performed poorly at the box office upon its release.
Several songs and particularly sad moments have been excised, while the familiar Stooge sound effects featured in the team's classic Columbia shorts have been added. The end result is a more consolidated plot, more of the Stooges, and a shorter running time of 88 minutes (v. the original 107 minutes).

Those critics weren't too kind on this movie for the Stooges' less usage of signature comedy. For me, The stooges can do any role they're put in.

Yes, some do knock the picture for various reasons, but I rather enjoyed it. I got a kick out of seeing the boys in what was at the time, a very big budget, technicolor extravaganza.

In our opinion, the film would have benefitted from some tighter editing, fewer songs and punchier sound effects. We hope the version we presented here achieves that goal.

this movie aside from me having a big crush on Carol Heiss as Snow White i mean this is up there with my favorite Snow White movies the only 2 ahead of it is Snow white a Tale of Terror and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs the Animated Classic by Walt and this has everything i love big battles dashing hero great comedy the leads are great and the queen is amazing i always love a good Evil Queen and the fourth in my list is Mirror Mirror

Curly Joe Howard died in 1952. This is not him. I think it's Joe de Rita who played "Curly Joe" in this movie.

I love this movie better than the Disney version! Mostly because The Three Stooges have an excellent role in protecting Snow White and Prince Charming. And Prince Charming has a more active role than the Prince Charming in the Disney version.

Good fan edit here, and this is not only far superior to the unedited version, but it also is no doubt far better than that trainwreck of a "Snow White remake" that Disney wants to put out. It even goes to show the Stooges were great, talented actors even when they weren't doing their usual slapstick comedy.
