We are Indians. But the musical instruments do not belong to being Indian. Tabla, Mridanga, etc are not limited to region.
Anyone who respects the Instrument, and does justice, has the blessings of Maa Saraswati. For the Gods of Art, “Indians” term is insignificant. It is created by humans. It doesn’t give us any other privilege than being proud. So we should leave it at the Pride level and not try to own any other credit.

Rap is originally from Senegal Africa. It was called spoken word music. Even today the tradition of spoken word musicians travelling to villages to tell stories basically. All the music form of America originated from Africa when slave trade flourished and the music stayed with the slaves that ended up in America.
