I went to Ilfracome as a child with my parents. And I can remember a display of Army vehicles,and Police vehicles.
Great to see my old hometown. The promenade and harbour areas are not too bad but unfortunately the high street looks sad and shabby with it's closed shops. Hopefully Ilfracombe will have a miraculous revival like so may other seaside towns need. I miss the old town and I'm long overdue for a visit.
I think it will be fine by summertime and back in full flow hopefully ❤️

I visited here before lockdown. I went on Bakers and Dolphin coaches from Burnham On Sea. It is a wonderful place to visit. I am only recently after discovering that you can get the ferry from Ilfracombe to Porthcawl which I would recommend a visit to .
Going to Woolacombe in May, definitely making a visit to Ilfracombe now. Ps could not believe that was January, beautiful weather
I been to Ilfracombe since I was a kid with Family Gimbal Walk TV
The used to be a bandstand on the prom and every sunday evening a concert was held, also there used to be a Pavillion there too all gone mind you i was there 63 years ago but I have many photos to the place Its totally different now to what is was. There was a great Pasty shop in town where we used to buy some to eat on the paddle-boat back to Cardiff docks My family used to visit Ilfrcombe at least three time a year

What a lovely looking place, looks like a glorious day. I am always surprised at how big the tides must be over there. Lovely old buildings and shops. I'm ammazed at how large the churches are in the smaller towns. A rugged coastline.
Wow, just stunning. I must have some dinosaur DNA in me because I felt right at home on that beach. 😂
I love that it's so quiet and you practically have the place to yourself. Shame that such places are usually not easy to access without a car. Train and bus journeys are long and complicated. You're lucky to be able to see these places, and in such great weather, too.
I really enjoyed this place - was lovely and peaceful (I timed it for between showers)
