I can see how a lot of work had been put into this, most of them deserve more recognition, but I think the axis powers idea made it worse. It's kinda over used in the countryhumans fandom

The only reason Italy in WWII was fascist is your leader. It's like to say "hey you are from Serbia you are evil cuz you don't recognize Kosovo". Just don't listen to them they don't understand what is happening in today's world so they are looking only at past.
Yes. I am german and sometimes there are people from the internet, who call us, austrians and italians fascist. Someone even told me they would want to kill every german and austrian or even italian, who they met or they write that the civilians who died during the firestorm on Dresden or the italian soldiers who already surrendered in Biscari but were executed deserved to die (don't understand me wrong, I know that the nazis did worse, expecially in poland and during the holocaust, but that does not make the things I mentioned right). But they are just some idiotic keybord warriors and I do not think, that all people think like this :)

@@Hhelleenna Maybe you are right that we should stop caring. But hey, that you got attacked for your Country is really bad and an awful behaviour from the person, who did that. It is really sad that serbians still get the blame for something most of them did not even do or the younger ones, who were not even alive during the Yugoslav war. Most of the serbians I know are really nice people.

I like the ending, because it shows Germany is still portrayed as the "evil" place while all of the other axis powers got off free, because nobody really cares about their crimes. But Japan got 2 nukes, so Italy is the real winner. (With Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, cuz they didn´t get shamed and bulgaria got dobrich at the end of the war)
How Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria are meant to be winners when they fell into Soviets influence for 40 years?
Finland is probably the only winner as they lost nothing and never got occupied.

They didn’t really need to join NATO as the USSR used Finland as a neutral country and would have never invaded Finland after that. Also Finland is trying to join NATO so the treaty didn’t set back Finland like it did for Austria.
I actaully love how this portrays the axis powers (mostly Germany and Japan) I feel like it kinda shows how two nice countries just turned into complete wreaks.I mean you have Germany with the holocaust (probably other things but that's the one everyone knows) then you have Japan who basically went on a rampage and massacured millons.

Also, I like to think that you can show Germany when it says "sweet dreams are made of these, who am I to disagree?" because let's face it, if someone was promising you a better life, you would take their side if things were going to hell. Hitler did that, and the people saw nothing wrong with that. Why would they? Now with Japan when it says "travel the world and the seven seas, everybody's looking for something" I'm not sure if Japan's goal was to conquer the world, but I know they wanted to have control of the Pacific and Asia 1:30 (sorry if I'm still wrong tho...) kay now this may be more of an actual C.H point of view thing but stay with me. When it comes to war, everyone wants something out of it in the end. If not during the war, then after it. In Japan's case it seems like power and land (they're an island country, not much to work with) 1:20 she was looking a map of the area so that could also imply that. Although, 2:42 even though they manage to turn back into good nations, 2:48 there is always going to be that reminder of the hellacious things they committed during war, and the damage done by what it took to end it (mostly Japan...) in the end, Germany and Japan *seem* to be nice places from what I've heard (sorry if it's not, I've never been there so I can't speak from experience, but I haven't heard anything terrible lately so???)
Anyway, this was long, I know I looked too deep into this xD sorry I didn't mention anything about Italy, but I really don't know much about it... *shame* hope this wasn't too stupid though :)

I love the complexity of these comments. Especially as a history nerd I appreciate that some people put great thought into comments, but the main points are really quite simple Fascist Italy felt backstabbed by the allies after ww1. While the 3rd Reich wanted to take revenge on the Allies for the massive land loss, reparations, and nearly disarmed country. Japan wanted the more resource rich islands and mainland that China, Dutch, and British controlled striking the Chinese in a time of civil war and fragmentation.
I who am Italian can help you a little, we Italians in war, even if we do not talk about it, we were one of the nations that suffered the most, at the beginning of the war we did many atrocities, especially in Africa, such as throwing gas on peoples who we could invade with little difficulty, then towards the Balkan, there was the war against Greece, but from 1942-1943, there was a civil war that divided us into two parts, in the north controlled by the Nazis and fascists and in the south by the Italians (CLN , the National Liberation Committee) later the Americans arrived (who in my opinion committed atrocities such as bombing Sicily where there were only villages where elderly people, women and children lived, these are little things that are not told) , from then on the Italians commanded by General Badoglio drove out the Nazzists and captured Mussolini (who was killed in one of the ugliest ways).
