@@unknownuser7542 but that's not a real story. its just an uninspired and boring excuse to promote the rulantica water park. still a cool kids ride. but i wouldnt go. kinda misses the point of dark rides, where it should be something for the whole family

That was fun! I like how they elevate the back seat so whoever is there can have a better view. I'm not familiar with whatever the ride is based on which I think made it more interesting. Thanks!

@@justimagine2403 Phantasialand has awful dark rides for the most part. Although I agree that Symbolica, Droomvlucht and Fata Morgana are better than this - they have far bigger budgets and footprints too. This is a great little ride.

I love the variety of this ride! some beautiful physical sets and some really enjoyable projected ones. Im glad it didnt go all in on the projections as the sets are quite impressive

snorri the octopus is certainly a better choice than the "pukey the upset eel" choice they almost went with.

The ride is an ad for the park's waterpark, with the scenes being based on the areas of the water park
It's basically a tour through Rulantica with Snorri as your Tour Guide. Since Snorri has that magic horn, you get transported through the different places. Rulantica itself is Europaparks new water park. according to the story its a mystical island which got recently rediscovered
First time hearing about Snorri the Octopus, but all in all, a pretty well-themed, if a bit too short, dark ride.
It's also a bit too bright, tho that might be the camera's low-light settings. The fx probably work better if the environment is darker.
The animatronics could use a bit more movement, but they're sculpted really well.
The ending is a little too anti-climatic, especially after the interesting (even kinda creepy, but cool) set-up w/the evil mermaid.
Agree. The darker lighting in the evil mermaid section should have been used throughout the ride. As it would make the neon paint on the plants show up more. And would help to disguise the track.

This is an amazing ride that octopus was amazing
This is one short ride despite the extension with screens. I know why as the entire ride was built into a existing basement which wasn't that big. I feel it would have been better as an omimover as its what you see and it just handles crowds. not this car system but that's just me.
An omnimover would have been way more expensive. This was technology Mack had on hand themselves which made it a better choice.
And about the basement, yep not that large of an area with pillars in akward places as it was already there before the ride was done planning.

Didn’t quite understand the story but instead of the cartoonish mermaids, it would’ve been so much cooler if they had fish and huge ocean creature swimming around with some cartoonish ones mixed in between. The mermaids looked too fake and boring imo.
The snow trip at the end was amazing though.
That's too bad about the passenger shadows showing up on the domed screen.

Is this ride in Europapark or Rulantica? I've neither seen the ride in the park nor have i visited Rulantica.
It's at Europapark in the skandinavia area. Built after the fire.
The donkey kong ride over at epic universe will be a side rail system but i'm not sure if it will simulate jumps over "spikes" as in the game i doubt it but it looks fun, i think its more a yoshi clone that will be too slow.

in the queue there are elements that tease this ending and I guess it explains why Snorri is full of green stuff in the last scene
