    Jerome - quick comment on the cameras in this video. The 2 guys shooting video are moving way too much and sometimes aren’t focusing on the important things. When Parker is talking but also showing, you have to see his whole body, club, and the ground. A lot of scenes fail to show everything in the same shot. You would have been better off with another stationary camera behind both of you and maybe another one at an angle (in addition to the green cam).

      From what it looks like, I think he just hires random people to hold the cameras in whatever states he goes to. Unfortunately, these guys holding the cameras are not golfers so they don’t know wtf they’re doing lol

      All of his camera operators are not really versed in "camera work"...it is very BAD as an operator (cowboy hat guy) to cross in front of the other camera. Hey, Jerome's camera operators?! You have to cross from BEHIND and try not to cross the line while recording action. You camera operators need to be on the same axis line...so if the middle camera is getting both Jerome and Instructor. The second camera should be right next to the first to get a tight shot of either Jerome or Instructor. Get it?! You are wasting time moving / trying to find a good shot...just record the information...you're not filming a cinema here.

    Parker is the best. I don't think I've heard him talk about the clock method for different distances with your wedges. That's something I would recommend more as a point of refrence. As in the 50 yard shot your arms went to about 9 o'clock. 70 yards maybe 1030. With a bit of practice you can reference a clock position. I don't use it as a hard fast rule, but more of a point of reference for feeling the shot distance.

    On the same journey, started at the same time, have dedicated my life to it and also have the unfair advantage of a world class trainer.
    What is interesting is how similar progression has become, but how different our perception of cause and effect is. You were fixing hip rotation, I was fixing ball flight, identical lesson😂
    My only advice is to not take advice from idiots like me, but you should read "every shot counts" and if you are into psychology, "golf is not a game of perfect".
    Keep up the good work!

    Just curious …
    Now that you’ve been on this journey for a while now, AND that you’ve improved so much already, …
    Have you upgraded your clubs?
    Have you been fitted?
    What’s in your bag now?
    I guess, does technology make a difference in the golf swing? 🤷🏼‍♂️

      It doesn't ... You can buy anything from this century, won't make a difference. I like the parallel with photography: if you're a bad photographer, you can buy the latest full frame body from the big names and the most expensive lenses, you're just gonna be taking random pictures. If you're a real photographer, you can do art using gear from 40 years ago.

    Thing is if you don't practice those shots or they don't come up in competition you will still feel uncomfortable over them, but it is better to try than to do nothing.
    I use a mantra when off for short game: push, turn, drop, turn, just for cadence, what many call tempo. Also, you can use a metronome, to train with.

    @robthomas4137 Před 2 měsíci

    I’ve seen a bunch of your videos and watched your swing. The one thing I notice that I haven’t yet seen anybody bring up is that you always seem to end up with your weight on your right toe at the top of your backswing. This is never going to promote a swing coming from the inside and I believe it’s a major contributor to your inconsistent shots. If you set a 2 x 4 piece of wood on the floor, stand on it and try to make swings staying in balance, I think you will see the problem right away. The fundamentals of any sport begin with balance and from what I have seen that has not been properly addressed. I think once you realize where your weight has got to be throughout your backswing and especially at the top, and then Master that, you will see massive improvements in your ball striking. Other than that, your swing is looking great!

    Question and not a statement! Do you ever feel that you’re getting lessons as if you’re a scratch golfer but your more like a 10-15? No disrespect intended . My coach has me chipping/pitching with straight arms with no wrists involved. Honest question.

    • @Jackdale101
      @Jackdale101 Před 2 měsíci

      Take a look at Dan Grieves videos on the short game - he uses that quite rigid back swing to generate regularity and different styles of shot - lower, mid height, high. I've tried it and it works - you just have to push yourself to push / straighten your arms away from you until you reach hip level. It's actually like a real / pro back swing starts so, once you get a feel for it, it's good to adopt for the big game too 👍
