If you look at 1:07, the natural lake is actually closer to the farm than the infinite source that Shulker made
@@scepter0143 Lmao ur right lol
At first I also had the problem that spruce saplings wouldnt grow, but then I tried this:
I placed a few Oak saplings to get the farm going. Without stopping the farm all I did was switching to spruce saplings in my hotbar and voilà, the farm started to work with spruce saplings.
So u gotta start with oak or birch saplings and switch to spruce saplings in hotbar.
Hope this is helpful for some people, because i got stressed out a lot about not getting spruce wood out of this farm.
edit: Don't forget to put the Building block above the block where u grow the sapling. Otherwise the farm might break.
Thanks a lot for all the Tutorials Shulkercraft! I am using a lot of your designs in my world and it always comes out as promised. Cheers

I love your videos! They're so helpful
When you lose 1 Redstone and 1 RS Torch (due to water leakage in the farm): You can see the position in the video at 7:15.
It can happen when a block is placed at the Observer Clock.
If necessary, the farm must be reset: To do this, attach a switch at the back of the farm (opposite the water) on the piston next to the amplifier (3 Blocks backs from the single chest) and press it.
An Another switch must be on the dirt (where the seedling is placed). Press this switch as well (it will then be removed, so collect it).
This can happen when a tree grows WITHOUT the farm is on.
@carstenschlegel6975 can you be more specific and with me water leaks every 30 seconds. Could you explain why please?

im having a problem with the other side and i have been messing around with it for 20 minutes and i cant figure it out
There is a slight problem with this farm where, at least with spruce trees, the leaves are crushed and the saplings are popped out of the farm completely. You could probably solve this with some hoppers arranged in a ~6 block radius of the farm, but that's A LOT of hoppers to have just to catch the saplings
Hi, Can you show me mabye how to Build this collecting system:)
or just build a wall lol
you still get enough saplings to keep placing them, so whats the problem???? just let the rest despawn

Oak trees will break this farm when one of the large varieties grows. I fixed this problem by placing a non-movable block like obsidian above the dirt block that you place the sapling on, level with top row of stripped spruce logs of the leaf crushers. This seems to have fixed the issue for me. Now this farm will reliability pump out some oak logs. Nice video and easy to follow build, well done. Cheers!
If you decide to switch to Spruce after running Oak, remove the obsidian block. The farm will run Spruce and Birch just fine. This farm will also run Jungle wood, but you will need to have a large supply of saplings. I moved the Obsidian block up one level above the stripped Spruce leaf crushers. The farm isn't completely lossless, some saplings, sticks, apples, etc. will land around the exterior of the farm. Oak, Spruce, and Birch produce a lot of saplings so the loss can be made up, but I eventually did run out of Jungle saplings.
All in all, this farm works and will produce a lot of logs.
Thank you so much man! Mine broke aswell
if u watched till the end of the video it stated to place a block to make sure big oak trees dont grow
what did you do to fix the farm after it broke from the oak? I cant for the life of me fix it
This is amazing. Still works in jave at 1.20.2. every time I stop it breaks a little bit no big deal to fix and start back up again. Clean out every time when done farming
This is an excellent farm. If you're making it, it helps to think of it as seperate parts joined together. The TNT dispenser at the top is just on or off, and you can make it seperately on its own for any sort of farm like this. The top of that stack of alternating blocks and redstone torches is just either 'on' or 'off', so you can build the TNT dispenser on its own, with just a switch, to make sure you have it right. The bonemeal dispenser is another seperate part, and the pistons are a third part, with the water collection being redstone-free. I may move the switch for the bonemeal around so it's not dispensing until I get into postion.
It's nice to build this near a bonemeal farm or a mob farm. You can also easily decorate this. If you have a drowned farm in your world, using copper block as the building blocks makes it look super fancy and industrial.
your tutotial are so well done and easy to follow, keep up the good work!

thank you so much for the farm
Thanks for this. I would love to build it when I have the time.
At the same time, one of the more frustrating things about videos like this is that I also want to know WHY it works the way that it does (mostly pertaining to the redstone mechanics). Having to watch the process of, now do this, now do this, is great for in-the-moment building, but it doesn't help me learn the concepts. The underlying concepts are what take this sort of thing from tedious, mysterious, and frustrating to natural and adaptable.
Check out Ilmango for in-depth explanations about most redstone builds
In a nutshell, this machine's mechanics reminds of a printer. So basically, what he build is a wood printer. You have bonemeal feeding contraption at the bottom back of the machine connected with rows of sticky pistons to the left and towards the right squeezing at the sides, so the trees do not grow side thick branches and for oak he puts a block on the top, to prevent from leaf block overgrowing the whole machine (if you do not put the stone block he mentiones at the end, the tree will overgrow the squeezing chamber with leafs, which might displace some of the pistons and crash your machine). And at the very top, you have a TNT duplicator which is perfectly timed with those 4 repeaters to ensure the TNT explodes at the right time to chip away some of the wood logs, which will fall into the water and the water streams taking the logs towards the chests. in addtion as the leafs get crushed, you get SOOOO many saplings in return (so you have an endless supply of them), sticks and apples if you use Oak.
Very genious design, thank you
I love your builds and have used a few of them (especially the cobblestone gen). But can we get a final dimension size for the builds? I like adding buildings around them and it's nice to know how big I need to plan for.
Yea, that would be great
Worked perfectly. Took a good time to build but it worked first try. Now to get myself a bonemeal farm...

TRhe only issue I seem to have is that I do not replenish saplings at a fast enough rate to keep up with the farm. I'm not too sure how to fix this as the top blocks can't be solid or else the trees don't work.
