As someone who Loved Greedfall and everything they have put into Steelrising, I feel it is worth giving Spiders this boost, might not be the most popular point, but for a smaller developer, I can see it doing more good, than most other DLC's I have bought.
i enjoyed the game thoroughly. i've been waiting for the dlc for another playthrough. Looking forward to seeing the balance changes. Hope spiders makes more games like this.
@@slipstream7324 same, gameplay can be wonky and the Facial animation isn't amazing, but the new stories they've been telling make it worth going through
@@chriswihulu i personally haven't bought a game on release for many years. I wait 6 to 8 months for the public to beta test the bugs while i buy the finished game at a discount. This game and elden ring were the exceptions. I wanted to vote with my dollar and tell the devs and publisher that i want more soulslikes from spiders. Love the alt history french setting and the combat. I was fine with being part of the final phase of balance testing as i could tell the grenades and such weren't balanced. Take care chris.
I've played most of the titles from Spiders since bound by flame. I didnt mind paying full price for steel rising but, I hope it's their last time in trying to do the dark souls clone genre. I feel they can tell more compelling stories and develop more innovative gameplay as a RPG. Lack of enemy diversity compounded with bland level design hurt steel rising too much. I agree Greedfall being a nice overall package. Looking forward to the sequel.
@@joeannamal I honestly wouldn't be against them doing a sequel to Steelrising, I get what you mean, being able to craft story with more depth, when there are branching paths that can be picked and chosen, as it was in Greedfall. But I will admit, it is also because I have a weird love for Soulslike games, outside of the FromSoftware made ones and I like a more personal and prepared story, when it is done right, as I feel they did here.
Looks pretty good but way overpriced, a better deal is to get the Bastille Edition (if you don't already own the game). Btw, any plans to cover Asterigos: Curse of the Stars ? It should be getting a DLC in February.
Just finished doing 100%, game is really good but not without flaws like EVERY game made. The DLC should have just been part of the campaign. The areas were both really good and added variety. The 3 new enemies were so much tougher than anything else in the game(fck the necromancer) and the end boss was cool.

I give them a pass, spiders is such a small dev team thats been building and getting better for like 2 decades. They are very important to the industry.
Surprisingly hooked with the narrative, however the lack of variety of enemies does wain a bit on the gameplay . I only picked this up recently so i haven’t played it pre grenades patch days. Went with a dancer build, enjoyed the challenge.
I just got the Platinum in Steelrising. I thought it was absolutely fantastic, gonna wait for sale on the dlc though as it’s a bit steep. I love Spiders games though. Greedfall was great, roll on GF2. I even enjoyed Bound by Flame.
Hello, do you mean in DLC? I have found just 1 grade IV (Athlete module), and it was recently in NG+ (1). I never found a level IV during my first game. Hope to get more in my NG+.
Definitely not worth it, the main game was bad enough, and insanely repetitive. Could only imagine how bad a rushed through DLC would be. Especially with bugs, performance issues, etc.

Getting so fed up of these non-expansions which are basically just like an extra level with no new features or mechanics. The laziest kinds of DLC.

Wish I could play that game. The developers didn’t include full camera inversion in the accessibility options (only one axis). Sad Panda.

Should I wait to NG+. Enjoying the main game as a flawed but fun soulslike. A bit on the easy side and grenades still seem OP to me.
