Sometimes those burnouts feel so good you just don't wanna lift. It took Austin Coil 20 years to break John Force from doing those half track burnouts.

I'm really glad he saved it, I don't like to see the big crashes, they cost money, I've had my share of that. It's even worse than hearing a rod start to knocking when you spent all your paper delivery money on parts and machine work when you're in highschool it's more than you ever want to spend, lol. I'm 74 years old now and much more careful. Thanks for sharing this video with all of us, it brings back many memories.

Looks like a stuck throttle, threw parts on the track, then he backs up to the starting line without going to the pits to check for damage, determine reason for out of control burnout?

If that is a manual it looks like he got a little sideways and dumped the throttle without disengaging the clutch. Good way to cause that.

Hope it was stopped and tec checked before that run, to find out what fell off that car.. Then the issue of cleaning that track up! But dumber stuff happens all the time!
