I love this angel of hope so much I have been trying to recreate it tonight with the stuff I have. It always looks easy when I watch you do craft but gosh, this lady is not so easy to recreate. My family checks on me and tomorrow my granddaughter bringing me some food I asked for, Am not overstocked in anything. Loved listening to Hanna , so sweet. Glad everyone is feeling better. You have me nearly in tears. They are there, but not falling. You are sweet beyond words, Marta. Your mention of checking on others is so wonderful. I know I would love it if someone would check on me, but I definitely do not expect it. As you know I live alone and seldom get out. We older people do need to know that others care. In America, older people are invisible to a large extent. We are not appreciated though we have much wisdom and kindness to impart. We have been around the block.

I think, though my art area is in upheaval due to organizing, I will clear off my table and craft with what is readily accessible. In fact, I think there is a project under the stuff on the table. It is from a couple months ago. Yes, it has been that long since I have created anything. That is horrible. I have been having trouble with exhaustion (not simply tiredness) and it has not been determined yet what is wrong. When I am extremely tired I do the basics to keep going and that is about it. I should really do something to chil-lax. It would be very healthy for me. I do not have to have my craft area totally done before I can enjoy myself. What have I been thinking?
As I look out the window, It looks like some of the young people here are packing things together and heading home to live with their parents. I think that is very noble of them. Assisting one's parents at this time is important. All of my family is too far away to assist me. Sigh. No more, "woe is me", Donna! I need to appreciate what I do have!! I very much appreciate you, my dear, sweet, Marta! You are so precious to me. You are family that comes into my home often. You and your kiddos are a breath of fresh air for me. I sometimes wish I had had daughters, but I was blessed with three sons instead. They will be wonderful in my old age...63 is not old yet!! LOL Definitely not elderly as the news has been calling anyone my age and older.
I hope that Lucas gets well soon. It is so horrible being sick. I have not been sick with anything contagious in the last 7 1/2 years since I live such a secluded life already. The lockdown will not be as hard for me as for others. I am blessed in that way. Well, back to the video, dearest Marta.
I have been practicing eyes, noses, and mouths. I want to add faces to my repetoir. I have learned from you, dear girl. I have no magazines so I might try to draw a face. I have not done that yet. It will take practice, I know. From you I have learned that practicing is needed to accomplish new things. If I had not done that with your videos I would not be where I am today with my art.
I cannot wait for my Woodies to get here from Germany. It is taking a long time. They are supposed to be here by the 23rd though. YAY! They could be late as Amazon has mentioned in an article online that orders are slower to arrive. I do not know if lockdowns from abroad affect the mail or not. I am laying any mail I get out on the table to wait 24 hours to three days if there is any plastic tape on anything. I am just being careful so I do not get sick. The mail carrier could have the virus sometime or be a carrier and not really get very sick. He is young. Mail carriers are out and about so much and exposed to so much mail. If people lick envelopes they can pass the disease that way. I am just cautious since I have underlying health problems. I am only checking my mailbox about every 5 days now so I am not exposed in the lobby so much. I check the mailbox at night too to avoid meeting up with others. I touch only my small mailbox and make sure that I do not use the hand railing for the ramp. I do not touch any hard surfaces that others may have touched. I simply need to be very careful. My sister and brother think I am paranoid, but they have their own houses and I live in an apartment.
Everyone in the building has to do all their laundry by hand now since the laundry room is an unsafe common area that could easily be an area for community spread. I do a lot of handwashing already though since that is how I afford to get art supplies. So I am again blessed that doing all handwash is not a shock to me. Others may definitely get depressed over it. That and loneliness will be hard on people here.
Arteza liquid chalk markers might be the next thing that I save toward getting. I did get some permanent paint markers since I was so frustrated that Arteza has not gotten their paint markers back in stock. I should have ordered the liquid chalk markers instead. My mistake. For adding final touches like your dots, the permanent markers will be fine though. I am certain that I will find uses for them. I just need to be inventive. I will use them on packaging so I do not waste good paper if I make permanent mistakes.
Well, my dear Marta, I need to go get some more coffee so I will close at this time. I greatly enjoyed all of Hannah's singing, It is so precious to hear. Emily is such a sweetheart to be putting Hannah to bed. Someday she will be an excellent Mother just like you are.
BTW, it was so helpful when Emily tipped her journal page as she did. It is the only way that I seem to see the raised stenciling.

i'm scared and alone and chronically ill. i thought i was a pro at home containment, i've been housebound for years with very little social contact in person. i have excellent coping tools and mental & spiritual practices but facing the real fear of being even sicker, on my own, has me spinning out, since i'm so dependant on others for EVERYthing. seeing your shining smiling face helped SO much. thank you marta.

I saw on Mon. 16th, news here in the U.S.A., California, @ one of the stores, they were making an ONLY SHOPPING TIME, for seniors. during a cartain time, when the store opened, so that the seniors, would show there ID's & be allowed to get a chance to shop & to have a priority, to get to the item that came into the store, that morning. Because of the over shopping. That is such a kind, compassionate, gesture, for a grocery store to do!!

Thank you Marta. It's very good to hear that we have the same stressors with our family. My daughter had flu and is better now. My teen granddaughter has cold symptoms maybe to go to flu but is near impossible to keep her and her friends apart as teens feel immortal, it is a fight. I'm over 60 I resort to guilt, " do you want to kill your grandmother?" Such a struggle. They can't see the complications of their selfishness a fight every day. On a lighter note, I think I'll make some simple pierogi to freeze. Filling. Not fancy. Lovely message, thank you, take care.💜

@@donnaconaway9368 it's a large Polish ravioli filled with mashed potato and cheese, or mashed potato and onion, really whatever is on hand. Boil or bake them, top with butter, sour cream, or apple sauce.😁
It sounds delicious. I wish I could have some prepared for me right now. It is nearly time for supper here in Minnesota, USA.
@@donnaconaway9368 it takes me hours to make them, they freeze in about an hour. They boil up in about ten minutes but I like mine baked. Two off then andvim stuffed. Comfort food.😉
