- This video will teach you how to make an origami hexagonal letterfold. It's made with one sheet of rectangular paper such as A4! It's very easy to make this! Use these to send notes or as pretty drinks coasters.
I love this origami hexagon letterfold!
I remember making these in class.. although they were not very neat! We would try to throw them to each other like frisbees. Whoosh.
They also make great coasters.. if you coated them in PVA glue or plastic... 😌

@@chemrahul if you analyze deeper, you will find a lot of trigonometry in those folds: the way you divide a 90° angle into 30° and 60°, the way you build up the hexagon with equilateral triangles, and so on.

Thank you for an easy to follow video. Mine came out great. I even stamped the very last fold with a flower.
Then I went around and hand drew stitching with a pen to resemble hand stitching...great so far...now here comes the whopper...cant figure how to fold it back up in the proper order so that it closes...without folding it back up while watching the video...so my question to you guys out there...how can you give this to a friend if they can't close it back in the correct order?

I used a 15.5" by 12" sheet of paper and the resulting hexagonal letterfold was big enough to hold a CD.
