Good information, thanks. In one of the comments one user commented about not using transparent pipe. Why is that??

Because transparent pipe is not authentic for LPG connection.
So always try to use branded pipe such as Bharat, hp, or indian LPG pipe.
Thises pipe has a wire layer it protect from rat bite and leakage.

You can store half used cylinder at home after placed the white cap properly.
Before placed the cap you can test the leakage if any by water in valve.
If no leakage fund just simply placed the white cap and forget it.

Yes, cylinder ke valve ko kisi chis se daba kar ekbar gas nikal de thoda. Isse sahi ho sakta hain. Nehi hota hain to kisi khuli jagah mein rakh de. Tension na le.

You are not supposed to put water in the regulator to check if there is leakage. You should not use a transparent tube,. The cyclinder is to be used for five years. Thereafter it must be sent for being checked and then only it can be used. The term expiry date is no tcorrect.

And you can check the cylinder valve is there is any leakage .
Because if here is any leakage when you not use the cylinder you can you can take help your distributor.
