    • @2birddogsandawolfdog945
      @2birddogsandawolfdog945 Před 3 lety +1

      @@MostlyOutdoors Just like the name says. Gear drive is basically the same as a manual car. Hydro is hydraulicly driven. Hydro also uses a rocker type of throttle pedal on Kubota's, some tractors use a separate pedal for forward, and one for reverse. Push on front to go forward, heel to go back. Convenient for loader work, costs more, harder to work on.

      Hello Lawrence, I'm looking into getting a tractor and one of things I will be doing is removing stumps. How exactly are you pulling stumps with this tractor? Do you first dig around the stump then tie a chain to it and pull?

    I traded my b2320 and a hotshot trailer for a brand new L2501 with the manual trans just last week. It’s only 6hp more but nearly 70% increase in torque. I’ve already got 14 hours on it, pushing downed trees into burn piles, digging post holes, grading roads. Don’t look at how numbers look at torque. I’d say this is 10 times the b tractor! I’m impressed for sure.

    I wanted one...and I wasn't sure if I wanted a manual trans, but after seeing the reverse Hi and low are in the lever on the side, I love that. makes all the difference being able to grab forward and reverse quickly without reaching down to the main shifter, that's an awesome feature with a loader. If I get one I'll be getting the gear trans

    • @LifeofLind
      @LifeofLind  Před 2 lety

      I love ours. I use it hard like a much bigger tractor. now has 146 hours on it! great machine. always run an implement on the back if you are filling the loader full, it will pull the back tires off the ground. I also welded hooks to the bucket and they are the most useful addition i have put on.

    Very nice tractor I have same one on order waiting on a couple options to hit the dealer to be put on also getting the backhoe because the tractor was 4k less than what I went in for originally so with like you said great financing I took advantage its a couple months out but kubota will finance it later at same terms because there behind on deliveries. But had a question did you go with the forward or reverse tiller and why. Dealer sold me a reverse.

    • @LifeofLind
      @LifeofLind  Před 3 lety

      It's a great buy! I think the RCR1260 is plenty for this set up, and I really like the slip clutch we have on the the 60" tiller it activated twice from hitting really big rocks underground, just slam the clutch in and bring it up and start again!

    • @LifeofLind
      @LifeofLind  Před 4 lety +4

      For a small to medium property the L25 has plenty of power! Can run a 60" tiller through solid ground with bricks and rocks in it and never even bogs down. the bucket can lift a full scoop of wet gravel and works good. the only thing I can think of is if you are using the bucket to lift a bigger load, such as round bales of hay..... it just wont do it, but I'm not sure how much more lifting capacity you would get out of the L33. For us, This works perfect!

    • @Dirtpoorhomesteader
      @Dirtpoorhomesteader Před rokem

      @@LifeofLind lifting capacity with bucket is the same among the L series last I checked. Your at no disadvantage with the 2501. Same hydraulic pressure as it’s bigger brothers.

    Help!!! Currently I own the JD 5045e. Very strong Tractor. Loader lift 3,600 lbs. I have 90 hours on it and do Tractor work for a living. I do mostly residential work grading, clearing, resloping etc. Truthfully I bought too big a Tractor. It was not meant for being in someone's yard. It will cut the ground with big ruts. I'm downsizing to a smaller Tractor. I'm considering the JD 3 or 4 series or the Kubota L series. Another thing I don't like about the JD 5 series is transporting it through Atlanta. With water and antifreeze in the rear tires and a 7ft boxblade on back it is a heavy brute beast. I have no complaints about it's performance. I had it on a Construction site and it is like Megatron. But being in around small yards it's just too big and heavy. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The Deere 2 and 3 series loaders out lift the L series Kubota I think they are close to 1,200 lb lift capacity. I do like the manual shift as well. I was told Kubota has a dry clutch and Deere has a wet clutch. Does that mean the clutch will need to be replaced down the road? I don't know but this is the last Tractor I want to buy.

    • @LifeofLind
      @LifeofLind  Před 3 lety

      I drove both of them, I like the Kubota because you can get the bobcat quick attach front loader and it's pretty much universal with all brands. the deere is more spaciffic to JD only parts. family has run kubotas since the 90's so i may be partial to them. but very reliable
