Xymox Percussion has a winner in the Reserve Corps model, which I consider the best available snare pad for Scots' side drum technique; its design seems quite popular for DCI and other marching-snare roles. Xymox also has handbuilt gum pad sets for marching quint/hex and single snare/tenor.
Great camera angle. I can see your syncopated sticking very well. It's the best angle for technique and wrist work I've seen. I adore the ending ( 1:50 ) piece. They should make things like this into competitions. Pit teams/pairs against each other. Have them do something like this, then throwdown the hardest cleanest stuff they can.
+Wyatt Mazyck There is a compartment in the back with metal beads in it that rattle when the pad is hit. You can silence them with a little rubber mat that comes with the pad. There super awesome.
+Wyatt Mazyck There are little bolts in the back on the compartment with the beads (you can turn them with the regular drum key) and however tight the metal plate is on that compartment and the bolts around the edge of the pad are how you tune it I assume. I'm just speculating seeing as how I haven't got mine yet.

+Wyatt Mazyck I haven't ordered mine yet either. And I've heard of some people not getting their's for a few months. The double has another pad on the back that is thicker gum rubber so it is quieter. Also the double does not have the snare mechanism I believe so if you want the sound that these guys got, you are going to want to get a snare. Other than that, I believe that the tops are the same.

so thats all metal pad. has nothing to do with tuning at all. because those fellas got them things sounding clean bruh
