Cesar's silliness predates Bruno. Have you forgotten Cesar's first appearance, almost exactly a year ago, in We're Good? Snapping his fan for emphasis? His sassiness goes back to that first VP performance as a featured performer. I LOVE Cesar's attitude, he's always funny (except when it's not called for. For me, that was the acting stunner in Hoist the Colors, Cesar showed us he could hold his own in a serious role). Thanks for the reaction, I always enjoy yours. AND - sounds like birthday wishes are in order, so may you enjoy a full month of birthday celebrations! As a Gemini, I'm sure that's not too much for you.... have fun!

This was Adriana's choice. When they announced this on Patreon they said Layne had offered to do lead teenage girl but they decided to go with an actual teenage girl thankfully! Rob also did the arrangement for We're Good with VP & Adriana so this is sort of a sequel. Love Cesar's sass, Eli fits any era any type of song, Geoff is Geoff!! & Layne amazes every time.
omg, I will now grieve forever that we didn't get to see Layne do that! It would have been hilarious!!!! (no offense to Adriana, it would have been a whole different thing.)

He along with Avi Kaplan and one other formed the Acapella Acadamy
He has helped Voiceplay with many songs like "We're Good", Dream on and a few others.
The "one other" is Ben Bram (co-arranger, engineer, and producer for Pentatonix).

The first time I heard that I thought it was “Your cover’s really taking off” because of that accent. It seemed like an odd lyric, but I was ready to go with it-sounds better than “CUH-reer”. LOVED those air quotes around “too emotional.” Cesar gets it. He has so much personality-LOVE what he brings to VP. And I think Adriana is 17, right? That’s pretty amazing.
By the way, Rob Deitz arranges a LOT of the Voiceplay minis.

@@steveeverett1736 they filmed it in his parents' dining room, and it was pretty much just Geoff and his wife Kathy. They're both very talented.

It took me ages to get to grips with these vocals and it's because of the way certain words are pronounced, with the emphasis in the wrong places. It's hard for an old lady like me to understand I suppose but thats the way it's written. Layne going crazy on the drums, Adriana going crazy on the vocals, and Cesar going crazy with the cuteness. He's adorable. :)

Ah this song was great fun. And happy birthday week to our birthday girl Jen! I enjoyed this one a lot. A very catchy, spunk-filled song. Caesar's sass got me to laughing. Eli never ceases to impress me with his range. Adriana too, what a set of pipes to hit those high notes like she does. Layne had to be exhausted after beatboxing for this one. You gotta love it when Jen gives imitating Layne a go. So funny! A most excellent, fun reaction Jen. Loved it!

I know you were asking a while back if you were doing too much VoicePlay, and while my answer's always going to be "there is no such thing as too much VoicePlay," this made me think of a possible way to theme the reactions. If they're collaborating with someone they've worked with before, reacting to one of their older pieces that you haven't already heard (like "We're Good" or "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" for Adriana) would be a possible way to tie reactions together. (And if this idea gets taken up I hope Rachel Potter comes back so you have an excuse to do the Tony-and-Earl-era collaborations on "Chandelier" or "I Knew You Were Trouble / As Long As You Love Me" - bonus because Layne raps on the latter song).
I had overlooked the Adriana collaborations until this one came out, since I'm not a fan of Grinch and didn't know any of the music from their other two collabs (yes, I'm the one person who hasn't seen either Frozen film). I went back and watched them after seeing this one when it was released, and she's a very versatile vocalist, especially considering her you (as mentioned in an earlier comment, she's still a teenager).

I’ve been anticipating this one. 😁 When you were talking about Adriana early on, I thought, she better buckle up! First Eli, who still astounds even though we know what he can do, and then that F# from Adriana. Sandy Claws was played by Pasquale Pallazzolo (sp?) who is the brother of Geoff's wife Kathy. He's a professional magician. Has a lovely stage voice.
Adriana's mom and Kathy used to sing together and have remained good friends. The VP guys recorded a video for Adriana's 15th birthday, inviting her to record a song with them. Her dad filmed her reaction. It's on her YT channel.
I'm not sure which song they did first, Grinch or the Frozen Medley. Both were with J.None, so they were before We're Good with Cesar. They've also recorded several minis with Adriana.
You might be thinking of Just Sing. Pasquale's daughter is the first singer we see in that. Be sure to watch with captions on.
