Pure gold!! All the riders from my youth 🤘 thanks for the memories!!
What a great collection of riders for this one.
Thank you martyn. As always great to see. Dave Jessup. Don’t know brilliant rider but never seemed to be that popular ? Excellent number one remember him at hackney really rode well. Always loved Simmo. Seemed lovely guy. Remember as a 14 year old the riders went round hackney with there crash helmet metro 4 I think. Spoke to me and my dad and made a massive impression
Bell Moto 4 👍
All my favourites in one meeting...great to see them again ...cheers.

Zenon Plech 🇵🇱👍👍👍🙋♂️
Rip wimbledon for stock cars and speedway and grayhound racing great place
He was a good rider Mike Lee
Another commentator completely misreading what he sees in front of his eyes. Nothing changes on that score!
Too bad White City stadium is gone. I watched the '79 World Qualifier there sitting in the glass enclosed restaurant at the start/finish line, right behind Briggo and ordered a hamburger that was made from.....ham....ugh. As I remember Moran qualified, but Swartz did poorly and displayed some bad behavior.... When I walked up to the ticket counter, prepared to pay for tickets, I informed the lady there that I was an American rider. She just pointed to a side door and told me to go in there. Free! How cool is that?
I went to the White City Stadium for all the big meetings Bill, always enjoyed going there. This meeting was at Wimbledon though. Did you get in free at Plough Lane too 😂
@@martynhepworthArchiveSpeedway Yeah, I missed that. Never got to Wimbledon, but I made it to Weymouth and Poole and did a couple of practice meets at Hackney Wick stadium. All paid for......
@@mauibill7233 When did you get to Weymouth and which meeting?
@@martynhepworthArchiveSpeedway I was staying with a friend who lived in Poole, and we went to the weekly meetings at Poole and Weymouth nearby, which was a Division Two track I believe at the time. I was there for three weeks in August 1979. We traveled to London a couple of times during the stay to take in race meets and do a little track time at Hackney.
