All the decluttering shows I watch all start like you did, purge! I know it's a big job, but breaking down in zones like you did works well! thank you for sharing...
I'd move the fabric drawers etc next to the sewing desk and the crucut supplies to next to the desk with the cricut on it. Makes more sense to ne to have them switched around.
Yes, zones help me in my craft space. One thing that helps me when I start on a large project like that is to have a donation box for things I honestly never use and projects I will never complete, and I always have a big black trash bag for garbage. Great job! We need a follow up video after you remove all non craft things and do your zoning :-)
Right at this moment I am doing this very thing and hit the wall. Not sure what to do next so I decided to watch a little CZcams and relax, and look what I found. I can so relate right now. Thanks for this.
TFS.. how refreshing to see a real honest approach to clutter.. GREAT JOB too! Getting started is usually the biggest challenge. Btw love the groc cart.. and how blessed you are to live so near an Aldi.. I look fwd to seeing you make the brown sugar. And I love your slogan.. “not perfect but better than it was” (or something to that effect) .. it’s true. Something I need to remember.. good advice! God Bless 🤗
Hello Homesteader, you did a great job, my craft room started out like yours as well. When I finally tackled it I decided to put two full so. pegboards on two walls, one for my sewing and one for the cricut/ crafts. Made everything so much more easy. I also was fortunate enough to be given an L shaped (large) desk and I made it become the focal point in my room. Happy crafting to you. Be safe and blessed. ❤❤❤
I always do left to right, top to bottom when I’m overwhelmed. That way, I have nothing to think about and can just start. Good job! Thank you for sharing.
My after cleanup reminds me of your before cleanup. I feel your pain. I purge just a bit every Monday and I’ve been setting up zones close their uses and I live rolling carts and shelving/drawers etc. but it never lasts long for me
tossing out an idea that could be helpful, your tall brown book case, lots of space unused. size it up for function and best storage options love, grab sturdy cardboard boxes, fabric & glue gun, create various sizes to make the most of what you got. it could be a fun activity & gift to yourself. you have a lovely little room, my space is also small, every so often it does get overwhelming and i have to tackle it again to see what will both function well and have me feel comfortable while in the space.
Oh wow you give me hope ,I can't do my maulty media, because I have no room to organize my 6x10 craft area,I just recently got a 18"×18"×72" tall wire 9shelfing unit ,now to get it put together and organize lol I also treated myself to a hight adjustable 24"×48 craft table,I am disabled, so I need to be able to sit and stand
Finally a craft area that looks like a craft area! Thanks for sharing
It's organized chaos! Great job!❤
