My wife and I have been interested in bee keeping for some time. Well I have been binge watching videos and found your channel. I found your videos more informative than all the rest. Some mighty good channels and there’s so much to learn.
We’ve got a building project going this summer and I have a half acre field on the back of our lot which we’re planting red and white clover on with some wild flowers mixed in. Hopefully we can get started next spring.
We live in southwestern New York about 30 miles from Lake Erie and 10 miles north of the Pennsylvania border. So not sure we’ll be stopping at your store but I will be checking your web site and I bet you have mail order. 🤔🥴

I’m in the market for a good jacket. I’m 5’7”, around 170lbs. What size would you recommend?
I usually recommend that you buy one size larger than you normally wear for a typical jacket. This allows some room at the bottom near your belt line so that the bees don't try to come up through any spaces (speaking from experience here, 😊). I really love my Kool Mesh jacket. It's cool in the summertime because the breeze blows right through it. Super lightweight and comfortable. Thanks for the comment!

Hey Claude! Thanks for the comment. Here's what I recommend: place queen and Bees into a confined space. A 3 to 5-frame nuc would work great. If you have a large colony you can get resources from, give them capped and emerging bees on frames (don't transfer adult bees from large colony). Then feed 1-1 syrup, entrance reduced to very small hole. Hope it helps! Thanks for watching!
