I acquired the Tacx Flux S recently and now tried Tacx' beautiful video version of this climb. Tough and good.
Except home trainer simulation completely misses out modelling the extreme wind gusts above tree level at 'The Bald Mountain'.
In 1990 I did the climb with my 12kg steel frame and oldfashioned 7-speed RX100 53/39T-13/28T (with the classic bend shifters located at the down bend) and boy, when I thought the worst part was over at the buttom climb of 12% and 44 degrees Celcius, just when entering 'the moon' my face was hit with sand, rocks and heavy nose wind for the last nearly 5 kilometers. And THAT's what makes this climb so special.
4 days ago I climbed the real Koppenberg, Oude-Kwaremont, Paterberg, Molenberg, Haaghoek, etc. and Tacx/Zwift comes completely short of modelling the cobbled sections.

First lesson a climber gave me. Never let your rival know you are hurting. You give off the hurt signals by your face, how often you change your grip on the handle bars and how you legs move on the pedal. By showing it is hurting, you give your rival the impetus and fuel to hurt you the more. Some also intentionally show the hurt signs to fool you into expending energy and then counter launch an attack. Contador did that to froome

Let se the scenarios and influence in support of UAE in peleton
    1. Pogacar stay with Vingegard. Together they would make 40 second advantage against Uran and Carapaz. Vingegrad had comfort 2nd place. In tomorroe race TJV won't defend Vingegrad in any way and wouldn't help the UAE in front of peleton in any way.
    2. Pogacar wait for carapaz and Uran and helped them to not loose anything against Vingegrad. Inneos will further help to control peleton, because it is interested that nobody more jump between Carapaz and Pogacar. And additionally inneos attack in climb so Pogacar can just free ride behind. Otherwise inneos would join breakaway attacks and UAE would gain have chaos.
