Just came across this excellent set of pictures and music. I am researching my family history, and my great grandfather Michael Dunn was born in Clogh. His father was James Dunn. Michael Dunn emigrated to Liverpool and married a girl Mary Conway from Castlecomer in Liverpool; the 1871 census has them living in Knowsley and Michael is farmworker. They have three children by then in including John my grandfather - I have an account of him visiting Clogh and Castlecomer on a walking tour in 1903. He said he was early greeted by his relatives and was offered a trip down the pit. If there is any local knowledge of the Dunn family it would be great to hear it. Michael Dunn

Loved the Clough video John. My husband Peter Gray is a grandson of Martin Cantwell. It was great to see him, his brother and the old Pub. It's a picture I have not seen before.

Wow, great video, my family the Brophy's were from Clogh. I believe my Grandmother and her sisters are in the 1911 photo, their Uncle Tom was the School master. Anyway to get a still of that picture? Are there any names on the back by any chance? Thanks, Beth

Loved this. My 3 x great grandparents Michael and Mary Brennan left Clogh, Kilkenny to come to Australia in 1862 aboard the Abyssinian. Sadly Michael who was a miner didn't make the voyage.

Excellent work, John. I even managed to catch glimpses of my grandmother's father Jack Conville, and my uncle, Mikey Maher. Maybe one of these days I'll be back to take another picture beneath the photo of the volunteers in Coffey's like I did when I was last there with Uncle Mikey.
I'll be forwarding this video to family members for years to come. Thanks again.

John I enjoyed this video greatly. My Great Uncle was Jeremiah 'Darby' Glennon, a member of the 1904 Hurling Team. Is it possible to obtain a copy of the photo you have in the video?
