You guys are so fun! I much enjoyed the drone view of your swims. That looks like a destination swimspot for me on a future trip North! Thanks for posting.
My favorite part was seeing your wife so happy an animated...🤗 And the puppy swimming ...the lakes are beautiful! I am on research mode until probably April of next year and then I hope to go visit some of the places you have on your videos...
'S mores' sums up this trip .....both the yummy eating ones ....and 'S more' lake views and swimming and fishing. Just a grand time of sharing nature with each other and nice of you both to share some of that joy with us 'tag alongs'.
Best part of your videos are your comments. Your desire to oversee & film the scenery & your activities makes each location equally enjoyable! That's a real natural talent! Keep on the journey if that's your plan! Thanks!
As you can guess we are pretty old now. And it took me quite a while to figure out your GPS readings. But I did it and I want to thank you so very much for them. I will travel to some of them for sure. We travel in a 30 class c and tow a very small Tracker 2wd, not 4x4. But it will get us to some spots you recommend. I know we can't travel where you go in your SUV. But you are opening up some new areas for us to explore. Thank you buddy for all of this information, and all the great videos. I truly enjoy them all.
Love this video! It made me grin watching you and Cassie play with Bowser. You find joy in the simple things in life, a good campfire, hotdogs, smores and some fishing! Nothing better!
Bowser was never a swimmer until we started taking him out onto the water (when he was 6 years old). He really likes it now. We still want to get a little life jacket for him to help him float so he doesn't have to work quite so hard.
Careful with the dog around the smaller reservoirs and lakes. There is an algae that blooms and it kills dogs if they drink the water. Seems fairly common in southern Idaho.
yeah I thought the same thing watching video it's called blue algae here's an article it can found almost anywhere www.pethealthnetwork.com/dog-health/dog-toxins-poisons/blue-green-algae-a-deadly-danger-dogs
You two are like a breath of fresh air.....simple...solitude...great video....so nice to see you both (and Bowser) having so much simple fun...hot dogs & smores looked delic....and no mess...Cassie is an absolute darling !!! Thanks for sharing...!!
Bowser is a cute dog. But the drone video over the lake was cool. The quality of video from the drone was great. Liked the variety of fish you caught and it was funny watching Cassie catching her first fish. I remember fishing with my brother and his 6 year old daughter and he told her if you catch a fish make sure you don't let go of the pole. She caught one reeled it in then got scared of the catfish and started running dragging the fish behind her screaming it was chasing her. He said drop the pole and she said you told me no matter what don't drop the pole
Thank you my friend i do so enjoy your vidios..The USA sure is a huge country ...regards from the mountains of Catalunya Spain..but you know sitting here under a beautiful olive tree i still think of London UK ..yesterday when i was young..
My favorite part was at the very end, seeing Cassie cast that line into the water with such conviction, even after not catching anything more. Her joy and your inspiration were both apparent in that one scene.
Haha, three people apparently disagree with your take on how Soda Springs soda water tastes. 8^D I've drank from a few mineral springs in France and found them largely unpalatable as well. Great episode, fun mix of activities and you find cool spots as always.
My favorite part is an part with Bowser. And Cassie. And the three of you. I've been watching your videos for a few months and feel like I know you because of the way you let us into every aspect of your adventures.
Love loved this video. I watch as many of your videos as I can but this one was different, so nice to see you and your wife together. In Nebraska when we have the little plant like scum ontop of lakes, it's generally a toxic alge. Will kill dogs very quickly and harmful to humans as well. We have so much chemical runoff from fields. I love the western U.S. and have begun exploring it from my RV whenever I can leave NE. Thank you for all of your inspiration and documentation!
I would like to applaud the fact that you don't exploit your wife's ( or your ) beauty in your thumbnail to get clicks . I would however totally exploit that dog until the cows come home or a million subscribers, which ever comes first .
It's a challenge to identify just one favorite part of this video because I thought that everything that you two got to experience on this trip was awesome. Well, okay, catching the fish! :-)
I don't sleep great when I'm camping either, having my dog in such close proximity wakes me up, especially when she's dream-running lol. But I have a big sun roof so I enjoy the stars!
I find your videos very wholesome and soothing. The doggo is so cute! My town in New England is home to a mineral spring just like that, when the Native Americans discovered long before we arrives, and also pretty good fishing. By the way, the fact that you were gagging means the water is extra healthy. All the minerals that make it so good for you make it taste bad and smell like rotten eggs, you learn to keep it down after a while. I just started spin fishing also, I found it harder than it looks. Those were some good looking smores. Keep up the good work.
Hopefully you didn't park too close to the geyser. I did and it covered my windshield in mist that I had to scape off with a razor blade. Windex wouldn't do it.
S'mores! Got to be #1! And your wind-up Bowser is pretty special! Realizing you enjoy solo trips, but just about anywhere you share with Cassie (collecting memories) has top scores on the list!
John C. Fremont passed through the Soda Springs area in the course of his 1843 expedition to California. Here is an excerpt of his journal that speaks of this area in their travels: "In sweeping around the point of the mountain which runs down into the bend, the river [Bear River] here passes between perpendicular walls of basalt, which always fix the attention, from the regular form in which it occurs, and its perfect distinctness from the surrounding rocks among which it had been placed. The mountain, which is rugged and steep, and, by our measurement, 1,400 feet above the river directly opposite the place of our halt, is called the Sheep-rock--probably because a flock of the mountain sheep (ovis montana) had been seen on the craggy point. As we were about resuming our march in the afternoon, I was attracted by the singular appearance of an isolated hill with a concave summit, in the plain, about two miles from the river, and turned off towards it, while the camp proceeded on its way southward in search of the lake. I found the thin and stony soil of the plain entirely underlaid by the basalt which forms the river walls; and when I reached the neighborhood of the hill, the surface of the plain was rent into frequent fissures and chasms of the same scoriated volcanic rock, from 40 to 60 feet deep, but which there was not sufficient light to penetrate entirely, and which I had not time to descend. Arrived at the summit of the hill, I found that it terminated in a very perfect crater, of an oval, or nearly circular form, 360 paces in circumference, and 60 feet at the greatest depth. The walls, which were perfectly vertical, and disposed like masonry in a very regular manner, were composed of a brown-colored scoriaceous lava, similar to the light scoriaceous lava of Mt. Etna, Vesuvius, and other volcanoes. The faces of the walls were reddened and glazed by the fire, in which they had been melted, and which had left them contorted and twisted by its violent action." The location of the cinder cone he is referring to is at 42°38'12.95"N Latitude, 111°44'19.64"W Longitude, about 7 miles as the crow flies from Soda Springs, near Caribou County Landfill. Next time you're in the area you might want to check it out, if that interests you. Fremont's journal is public domain, and can be downloaded for free at Project Gutenberg's website.
Oooh that water looks refreshing, but I guess no...maybe just to play in😃 Great that you found a fire ringed campsite... happy roasting and happy trails
Next time try Johnsonville BEDAR CHEDDAR dogs...really good! Also Mountain House meals in bags are delicious too...just add boiling water...enough for two people.
Seems that you and your wife are lucky to have found each other...nice trip! I wanted to comment about an earlier video when you drove up Moki Dugout, Muley Point etc. Do you have favorite lookout spots? Over the years a few of favorites: 5. Along Beartooth Hwy. 4. Above Medicine Lake in Glacier NP. 3. Islands in the Sky (Canyonlands) or Deadhorse Point. 2. Muley Point. and 1. View from campground at Tuweep. Would enjoy your feedback. Thanks!
You and Cassie are great...but, I'm sure you know, Bowser stole the show, ha. My husband and I are going to camp in Idaho for the first time at the end of August. It should be less crowded (crossing fingers) because school starts in Utah and Idaho on the 19th and we will go after that, but before Labor Day weekend. Have you camped up and around Ketchum? I know there are lots of campgrounds, river access, Altrues Lake and such...but haven't been there. We don't mind paying for a camp site, as long as UTVs/ATVs are not allowed anywhere near. Nice video, my hubby can't wait to do some fishing (he's a rod and reel guy).
@@SUVRVing ...I think Max may be right! So many places that have good looking water yet it's invisibly full of impurities & toxins? This could mislead lots of unknowing people at all those other places!
Wow! You have a wife that likes to fish! I’d say she’s a keeper!🎣
I agree!
I met my husband on the fishing bank. Almost 25 years later still enjoying!!!
My fiancee and I fish together all the time!

I fish a lot but it's always is funny to watch people catch their first fish
Hi Tristan what a fun video I loved watching you two enjoying the fire food and swimming. Bowser is so funny swimming. Great video.
Thanks Joan, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Love watching you and Cassie enjoy your lives, it reminds me of us before kids. Kids are great just different 😂
Yep, we're enjoying it while we still can 😂
I loved watching Bowser swim his little heart out. Hopefully I’ll get my pup to become a swimmer. ❤️

Oh good heavens. This was sweet.
great video. Favorite part was the swimming hole. Bowser looks like he hasn't missed too many meals ;)
Thanks for videos and places you went. Hopefully to explore in summer to visit families in Idaho, one of hot states in US. Appreciate the info.

Another great video! Southeastern Idaho has a lot to offer!
Yep, it does. There's still a lot to see and do for me out there. Thanks for watching.

Oh cool, you're now a bass angler!

You guys are such an awesome couple and Bowser is so cute 🤗😍 I'm trying to get my fiance to go camping this month with our 2 Chihuahua mixes.

Nothing against you, but Bowser is obviously Cassie's dog.
Bowser is a sweetheart 🐾💕
Yes he is!
Great job fishing. Looks so fun!
Thanks Jackie!
Great trip! Thank you for taking me along!
Thanks for watching!
love to see thew neat places you go. thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching, Shannon!
Looks like a lot of fun!
Yep, it was!
Hi we enjoy your travels. Thanks. Also when I saw you blowing on the fire, I wanted to recommend pocket bellows. Super compact and they really work.
I've seen those online but haven't ever used one. Thanks for the info!
Such a cute dog.
Yep, he is 😁
Hopefully you didn't park too close to the geyser. I did and it covered my windshield in mist that I had to scape off with a razor blade. Windex wouldn't do it.

I would call that an artesian well rather than a geyser which is a hydrothermal feature.

You are a lucky man Cassie is beautiful and fun. I know she is a bit camera shy but she sparkles in front of the camera.
Idaho has some interesting places 2 c. Enjoyed ur video.
Thanks for watching 👍

Thanks, same to you! 👍😊
I want your life! LOL.
Hot dogs and s’mores, favorite part. Everything else was great.
That was our favorite part too!
Where do you find out about all these points of interest you visit on your trips?
Books, magazines, blogs, maps, tourism board websites, etc.
excellent video! fav part? you two are very nice people!
Aw thanks!

Good to see all 3 of u. Cassie has the fishing bug... U need to get her a rod too.
We have two now 😊
Be careful dude, there’s jason still hangout out there
Another fun trip! Lithia Park in Ashland, OR has a natural soda water fountain and I thought it was horrible tasting too.
I'll make a note to not go there 😂
With the red,
it looks like much iron in the water
Hot dog and S'mores my wife would have said take me to taco bell
Lol nothing wrong with Taco Bell

Favorite part? The entire video!
Why don't you eat the fish you catch?
Great video. I don't think I would drink that water even if it did taste good. It just doesn't look clean.
It's plenty clean, it's just got a ton of minerals in it.
SUV RVing I don't know, but I wouldn't drink any water like that without filtering it first. But that's just me.
